Just received a penalty notice for £100 23rd Dec when I went late night shopping and was only in car park 38 mins . The machine wouldn't accept cash and I trued about 20 times to pay by card both mine and my husbands eventually thought it had been paid and barrier was up this is obviously some sort of scam as a few other people using the sane car park have had same problem

Another awful experience with this overpriced, ramshackle company. Parked in Brighton last night with a discount code on the NCP app. The ticket machine wouldn’t read the bar code on my phone. Queue of cars behind me so I had to take a ticket. No human being present at the car park (which looks pretty much derelict now -what do they spend the money on?). On exiting, the intercom ‘help’ button didn’t work but there was a phone number ‘I’m out on site please call this number’. I phone it - the guy was in Lewes. His only answer was ‘you have to pay the ticket - the discount is only if you use the app’. I got cut off and when I phoned back later he didn’t pick up. So I had no choice but to pay £25 and there was no receipt so I can’t even take it up with NCP as I have no evidence - this is a criminal company who don’t give a f*** about their customers.

Horrible company. They fine you even after you pay for your ticket, they don’t give you a chance to show your proof of ticket purchase because everything is done automatically and they don’t respond to email. Scammers and robbers. DO NOT USE

Parked at Meigh St Stoke on Trent. Machine was not able to accept cash. Tried to use card on 2 occasions which was rejected. Tried to Set up A/c whilst on car park no signal to phone so set up a/c at home. Tried to use pay later and it informed me that I had no charges. Received a fine yesterday from date 8/12/21 sent by NCP on 06/1/22 received 14/1/22. After reading these comments feel ripped off and shall remove app and in future use Council run car parks

I paid for a day’s parking using the NCP ParkPass app and recieved a text confirmation and email receipt. Two weeks later I recieved a penalty notice for that same day of £60 rising to £100 for non payment within 14 days. Though I was able to successfully appeal, there was the annoyance and waste of time in correcting their error and my now total lack of confidence in their systems. I don’t understand how they could send me receipts to confirm I had paid and then send me a parking penalty saying I hadn’t paid. Either incompetence or sharp practice.

Returned from a recent visit to Edinburgh registered all details in advance for parking having received confirmation of set up on the official NCP app .When it came to exiting message read Autopay not enabled card not recognised leaving me with a £51 bill for 1 full day .Although I voiced my concerns with the agent on site explaining the amount was incorrect they unfortunately were no help in finding a solution. 14 days later receive an additional £100 bill now an ongoing dispute ..? Bad practice from NCP very unprofessional. I have only recently used the app as recommended by the Bonham Hotel but I won’t make this mistake again app DELETED back to old school ticket and cash.

Paid £165 for our car to be looked after at NCP valet car park at Birmingham. We’ve never had such poor service. It’s a tiny car park where they clearly don’t take any care of your car and take no responsibility for the damage they do to your car whilst in their care. They just tell you to refer to ts & cs and send you on their way pretending not to understand what to do. There are plenty of other car parks that you can use do would strongly urge you to go elsewhere. Can’t believe NCP are proving themselves as money grabbers, devoid of any sense of customer service. If I could have given zero rating, I would have.

Bunch of incompetent clowns. They have license to steal money by not providing a service that has been paid for. Contact number is constantly on autoplay e.mails not responded to. CEO must be a pasty for NCP because I refuse to believe anyone in his position would tolerate the customer service that his people do not provide. All in all terrible company run by idiots and villains

Sold fast pass for airport security at time of booking airport parking. Fast track not operational, so missold. Complained on 2 different e mails and no response. Had similar at Gatwick airport, in Gatwick owned car parking but they refunded immediately. Have reported to trading standards as I believe misselling is going on.

The absolute refusal to even respond to a complaint is astonishing. I pre-booked parking and when I arrived at the parking station the QR would not open the gate. I tried to use the assistance call at the parking however there was no response. There was also no one in the office at the car park. As I was due to attend a meeting at the Jumeriah I had to just take a ticket and pay an additional £45 for parking. I realize that there are technical difficulties sometimes however there was no way to get assistance via the assistance button to enter the premises. I have raised this for almost 2 months and no acknowledgement to my emails.

Downloaded NCP ParkPass, created an account, registered the car reg number, enabled Autopay. Had confirmation that all was successful. Parked in the Cheltenham Portland Street East car park which clearly stated that NCP ParkPass could be used. Received a PCN as Autopay not enabled at this site. Nowhere on the signage did it state Autopay not enabled. Will not recommend NCP to any of my friends or relations

Dreadful, I received an email recently regarding NCP parkpass app changes, emailed 3 times, still no reply, held on the phone and as I type this for nearly an hour today and 3 hours previously, shocking customer service, NCP don't deserve our customer if they are not prepared to speak to their customers!!! The app is also useless!! QPark here I come!

We had pre paid for London parking. We had to pay again to be able to leave the car park and now they are very difficult to get hold of and won’t issue us a refund. DO NOT USE THEM. Not worth the time or stress of trying to sort it

Royal London Garden Hotel Carpark. Managed by NCP. Never picks up the phone for their customer "care" centre. No longer uses twitter NCP do not reply to their own on site messaging service. I've now written a letter to the NCP CEO Jonathan Scott NCP. 14b St Cross Street, London, EC1N 8XA NCP charged me twice to use one of their car parks. They don't seem interested in helping their customers. Please avoid using this company if you can. A one star rating for NCP is two more stars than they should be awarded - what a shambles.

Absolute joke! Do not use Dundee Willison Street - the machine is faulty, but they don't make people aware of this, and you end up being "invited" to give them £40! Showed phone records to prove that I'd tried to pay, and surprise, surprise, my claim was rejected.

NEVER use NCP PRE BOOK...its a complete scam. They send you a QR Code that didn’t work. The assistance button didn’t work so had to get a ticket to enter Horsefair NCP Birmingham. I spoke to someone in the week who said the booking was fine and if i had a problem exiting the car park call the assistance button. I said what is the point of that if no one answers. He suggested i call the number which i had waited 30 mins for to even speak to a human. Useless Of course when i left i had to repay as the booking wasn’t fine, QR code not recognised and again no one replying to the assistance button. So with angry cars waiting behind me, had to pay and leave. Have written to them twice...no reply. Web chat?.....left waiting for 40 mins...no reply. What they want is for people to give up trying so that they can keep your money but these criminals are not going to keep my money. NEVER AGAIN!

We used NCP BRIGHTON CENTRE car park on SUNDAY 12th SEPTEMBER. We were going to a show that started at 6:30pm. We arrived at the car park at just after 4:30pm allowing ourselves TWO HOURS. We queued. And queued. This was expected as it was Marathon day. Although the Marathon was over hours before. By 5:45 we had managed to get into the car park but NOT park. The hold up was cars trying to exit. The gates were stuck. And no one to help. No Marshall’s for the car park on marathon day. It was a total shambles. People who did not know what was going on were tooting & shouting. The air was full of fumes. And we personally aged 75 & 60 both have asthma so not great for us even with windows shut. We were stuck on a ramp waiting patiently to park. We finally got parked at 6:35pm. As I got out of the car I trod in what can only be described as long term grime. Slimy, disgusting, stinking car pollution. The whole car park is absolutely foul. It stinks of urine right throughout. And in places it smells of even worse things. Rubbish everywhere. We even saw a rat outside. Whereas i appreciate its a hell of a job to keep on top of cleaning, it is obvious the whole place has not been properly cleaned for years. It’s a disgusting view of what Britain has to offer. And NPC should be ashamed. Leaving the car park to walk to the seafront, my shoes were so badly soiled from the car park, I decided when i got home to throw them away. My coat too got something disgusting on it from a door. We paid £32 for this experience. THIRTY TWO POUNDS to park our car in a totally shambolic mess. Clearly the parking price indicates you have funds to clean it up & run it a lot better. Disappointed? You bet we are. It ruined our evening. It’s unhygienic, disgusting & totally unnecessary. If you are going to rob people with your prices. At least provide a clean well run place. Be ashamed.
