After almost finishing our shopping (we had been in store for well over an hour) my daughter spotted a dress she liked. As we had 2 of the store's shopping bags, full to the brim, and as I was extremely tired (I am 74) before we entered the dressing room I called over the queuing barriers to the assistant at the entrance asking two questions: 1. Was there somewhere inside where I could sit down while my daughter tried on the dress and 2. Were we allowed to bring the 2 shopping bags into the dressing room. We received a very surly answer of "yes" to both of the questions. We therefore made our way down the queuing barriers to the entrance.   My daughter was asked how many items she had to which she replied "one".  The woman then looked at the 2 shopping bags and said, again very abrupt and surly "you can't take them in, you'll have to leave them here" even though I had just asked asked her and the answer was yes we could. I proceeded to put the bags in the back room to which I was instructed to "take them out and put them here", "here" being right in the entrance to the dressing room. I pointed out that someone would fall over them to which she replied "you need a ticket". The ticket was duly given and then I had to pick them up and place them, yes, guess where, back in the backroom. Why they couldn't have stayed there in the first place whilst I was given the ticket is anyone's guess. My daughter tried the dress but it was too small. At the exit a different lady put my daughter's "how many items" ticket into the machine and said "you took 5 items in".  My daughter said "no, I only took one item in". The assistants then kept shouting through to the surly woman at the entrance who said "she hadn't written it down" whatever that meant. What followed was excruciatingly embarrassing for my daughter. She was literally frog marched back into the dressing room by another assistant who looked round the dressing room with my daughter and then in front of a now, very long queue, shouted loudly that there was nothing in there. The whole fiasco was horrendous. The "frogmarching" assistant then apologised to which I replied that the assistant on the entrance needed training on her customer service skills and her manners. I was then told it would be reported to the Supervisor. I spent £165.50 and my daughter spend £102.00. If we hadn't spent such a long time choosing the gifts I would have just walked out without buying anything. The time was circa 1.00 pm on Wednesday 13th November. It was a really bad experience and we both feel really aggrieved.

Primark sorry to hear I had a bad experience...Well I'm sorry that I've always given you my money... Tried to change a coat that was a size bigger but told I couldn't..even though I had a valid receipt...I was 1 day out of there're 28 day policy ...Im also a disabled person so getting out is very hard for me. I also had about £150 worth of other goods I wanted to buy as xmas presents. When told I couldn't even exchange the coat for a bigger size...I told them..for donkeys years I've always shopped in Primark and has from today you have lost my custom...Primark what a stupid policy you now have...I could understand if I didn't have a receipt but I did....With this policy of yours I'm now looking forward to seeing your company going into liquidation very soon.

Terrible refund policy even with receipt and all the tags! They said they couldn’t take back a blouse I bought on Saturday and returned today. As it had a mark on it - the same mark they sold it to me with! Then said by their own admission they wouldn’t buy from the shop they work in. Taking it to trading standards to resolve as the staff offer very bad customer service and don’t follow their own refund policy. Avoid At all costs!

Primark customer service the worst ever ( not in store there rules in general ) returned an item 1 day late with receipt and tags intact to be told no you can’t get a refund asked by the manager to email the company to see if they would do anything explained that I got the dates mixed up as I was going on holiday rushed back to store to take it back got a standard e Mail back about returns policy that I already knew they didn’t even reply to my response that explained the circumstances..... the item is as bought in a salable condition disgusting customer service I will complain again and c if I get an adequate response otherwise I’ll shop elsewhere .... not happy

Worse ever experience!!! The male East European duty manager of Primark Luton The Mall is the worse person to wear a manager title and badge. Anytime you see him on the shop floor he's having long and private chats with shop assistants speaking to them in his language. They don't pay any attention to customers who want to pass to have a look at there stock, for which you usually come in. He's blocking the way getting rude and arrogant if you want to pass and gossips behind customers backs in his language with shop assistants who come from same place. He might be chosen by the wrong person, because that one hasn't got any single clue of retail and customer service at all. Luton needs a complete change so that customers can have their browse and chose their items which they are going to buy without that embarrassing show of your duty manager. If that's all he knows about it's a great shame that you pay him!!

Absolutely disgusting, customer service and returns policy in Bromley Store. I have never been so embarrased when trying to return an item to a store. The staff were rude and condescending. I had a few dog hairs on the item to be returned, which I could quite easily of removed, but I was told that the item was now unsaleable. Make certain you are totally sure of any item you purchase, better still don't shop there at all

Discusting that they won’t exchange without a receipt even with labels on and clearly not been worn . Don’t care if it’s the law most decent companies allow this and primark don’t have good ethics in any shape or form . Discusted I am grieving and have no reciept as my step mother bought my daughter a dress form there before she passed it doesn’t fit so can’t even exchange it didn’t want credit note or cash just a simple exchange . Will be taking my custom elsewhere to a firm who appreciates me !!

£600 TO SPEND BUT NOT ALLOWED IN! When we come away on holiday, it always comes with the need for my Wife to enjoy some retail therapy. We ha drive 42 miles especially, to visit a town with a Prtmark. Having two incredibly well behave dogs, a Cocker-Poo and a Golden-Doodle, isat on a shoes fitting bench with dogs sat beside me, whilst my wife went on a sending spree. When I was told to leave, I found my Wife with her arms full of clothes. We did as we were told, we left, abandonjng what was obviously hundreds of pounds worth of clithes. With so many shops closing, I'm amazed to find Primark turning away business and like so many other dog owners, having been banned, shall respect the ban and will never go through their doors again. As it happened, my Wife finally spent just under a thousand pounds on clothes she didn't need. I was hoping being banned would save me money, alas, I was as unlucky as was Primark! With an anti-social policy, I look to the day when Primark start closing its branches

A lady called Donna served me this morning in your Nottingham city store on the tills on ground floor she 'folded'my items poorly and when I asked if she could do them again she said No that's the best I can do we're not shown how to fold clothes. It was around 10.30....terrible attitude....no hello/goodbye nothing.
