“Changed personal insurance to buisness insurance they said they had no record and tried charging me 200 to recover my van! I've cancelled my direct debit very bad service when I've been with them 5 years!!!!!!”

“What a shame. Use to be a grate British company that could get u on the move again. But it’s seems to be past on one member of staf to another. Stranded with kids in middle of now we’re. Ovoid at all costs. God help any one that try’s selling it to me again at a shopping mall”

“My 4 days old car broke down. I booked a service for the next week and arranged the delivery of the car. RAC booked me for a day before to take the car for the service. On the day of collection I rung RAC to ask for a time slot for collection and it was 10am-1pm. Then I called RAC few times and I was told that they do not guarantee to deliver the car on time. They actually said, that they do not guarantee anything that is going to be delivered today, tomorrow or anytime. Hugely disappointed with the company. If you have a choice avoid. It's very shame but it looks that I have to pay recovery cover with someone else although I have 3 years brake down cover with RAC for brand new car.”

“Everything. Un professional, inconsiderate,un helpful,they will take your money fast enough but the service is rubbish.i couldn't enfisis how disappointed with both their warranty and recovery services I am.shocked how they keep on going”

“They have those flying helicopters and is so noisy and I can feel.the vibration and my roof ceiling in the garage fell down and damaged my car and they won't even let me claim through them. We pay so much for the house insurance. That's not good . Will never insure with RAC. They are useless company”

“RIP OFF Auto renew scam artists . As i didn't check the price it doubled from a high £70 to £130 !!! They are relying on people not checking and basically stealing from them and IF you notice they charge £25 to cancel !!!!”

“They subcontract recovery out to incompetent “trusted partners” such as Richford Motors who have an appallingly reputation and are quite frankly untrustworthy. Avoid using.”

“Left stranded for 5 hours because the first van wasn't able to tow my car. Had to get a friend to take me home and it was 2 DAYS before RAC finally arranged collection of my vehicle. Disgraceful.”

“Broke down on a dark county road at 11pm pm Friday, it was 7:40 the following morning they arrived. I was lied to told people was on the way and fobbed off. Car battery died as hazards drained it had absolutely no light at all. I would never use them again or recommend them and if they thinking they are getting another penny from me they can think again”

“I called the RAC on Friday to ask about replacing my car battery. I was specifically told (and have the recording that proves it) that I can buy my own battery and call the RAC on the day I need to get it fitted. (I ask "it's fine if I buy it on my own, I don't need to buy it from you" and the answer is "You can buy it on your own as well".) I called today but was told that the RAC won't fit a car battery not bought from them. This is a very bad customer experience. I am down 120+ pounds I paid for the battery, and cannot find anyone that would help me fit it (I called 10+ places today, all are just fitting batteries that they sell). The customer service was unhelpful and said "we'll review the recording to make sure that this doesn't happen again". As if this helps me :(.”

“Complete disgrace, I feel sorry for the actual patrol men who were lovely, it’s the call centre that needs to get its act together. After numerous calls to them and false promises about when they were sending out someone to get us home it was TWENTY hours before it actually happened..despite me telling them I had two young children with me.I asked to speak to a manager but they told me they couldn’t do that. As a first time member I won’t be renewing.”

“Absolutely a cowboy outfit, waited 12 hours in the dark and was lied to on numerous occasions the staff are clueless and do not even bother about your situation, they don’t deserve to be in business and I am taking legal action against them 👎”

“Got a free 12 months Voucher for the RAC when I bought a new car. I phoned RAC Customer Services as I had a couple of simple questions. The man on the end of the phone didn't have a clue as to any of my questions (which were childishly simple) and insisted on referring to me as "fella." Anyway, I'll stick with the AA.”

“14 hours to make a 2.5hr journey home. 4 recovery vehicles. Left abandoned at a petrol station in the middle of nowhere for 3hrs and then on an industrial site for 2hrs at midnight. Do not take out cover with this company. Zero compassion from staff. Absolute disgrace.”

“Awful, rip off company. Do not use them I am about to go to the ombudsman as they haven’t answered my complaint at all, completely ignored us. I covered my new driver son with them and they complete ripped him off. DO NOT USE. I have Green Flag and they are great.”

“Very helpful over the phone, lovely manner, but completely ripped of , been with them since 2018 now 2022, changed car, went up to 109 a month from 20..... New car insurance well over half cheaper,”

“They never turned up!!!! 11 messages and over 4 hours later, they rang me to apologise... member for over 20 years, never called them out before. Had to pay a local breakdown company to get home, cost me £120.00 for approx 3 mile journey. Don't waste your money on them!”
