"Joined in Sept 2021 over the phone naming my 2 commercial vehicles auto renew Sept 2023 to September 2025. 1 call out and attended in 2024 however January 2025 I call them out and am told you are not covered for your vehicles. I speak to rac and told that's not right and he says I'm cancelling your policy, I say shall I complain he says yes. I then receive a threatening, intimidating and unlawful Demand for Payment letter from Managing Director Andy Baker saying that debt collector will visit my home before they have even won legal proceedings or even legal proceedings have begun. Disgraceful behaviour!!!"

"I needed a new battery for my car. As I was a member of the RAC I went to their battery replacement website, put in my registration and their website presented me with a list of 'the most suitable batteries' for my car.\r\n\r\nAs the list was quite long, I just chose the first on the list, irrespective of cost, naively believing that the RAC would know what they were talking about.\r\n\r\nWhen the mechanic arrived he bluntly told me I had ordered the wrong battery!!!\r\n\r\nHe fitted an alternative - that he said was still not 'ideal' but would 'do the job'.\r\n\r\n4 Months later we have a series of electrical issues - so I call the RAC out again - and this time Im accused by their very surly mechanic of having ordered the wrong battery again! I showed him HIS website and HIS companies recommendations but he just said 'thats just a list mate - it doesnt mean its the right one for your car!!'\r\n\r\nI sent him away and will cancel my membership - JOIN THE RAC AT YOUR OWN RISK - they are a bunch of amateurs trading of a 'Royal' kite mark.\r\n\r\nPS you can see in the attached image I ordered the 1st in their list of 'Most suitable batteries for your vehicle'"
