Every year you say it's up for renewal, but you don't actually do anything 'active' at all. You don't offer any alternatives, or say if the new quote is as expected or could do better... It just like, "Here's your new quote, contact us if you need us"... I mean... okay!

The service in 2019 was poor in that we were given the same price as initially received from Vitality with Active Quote saying there was nothing they could do to challenge it. When we then went direct to Vitality we were able to discuss options to remove >60% of monthly premium increase. PS: In earlier years Ieuan Williams was able to do this negotiation for us but he has now left Active Quote - perhaps this says something about the current team at Active Quote??

ActiveQuote are not ‘active’ they just sent me my renewal quote year after year and did not bother looking for alternatives despite the cost going up and up until i complained, then hey presto much cheaper quotes were available. How long have I been paying too much thinking that ‘active’ quote were actually doing their job?

Told me they would shop around for alternative quotes. That's the last I heard until my existing policy automatically renewed. I'd have preferred to have had a choice in the matter.

You are supposed to my health insurance broker but my insurance with Aviva was renewed without a word from you at an increased premium. What service are you providing?

Lack of response from advisor which eventually resulted in me doing it all myself directly with BUPA. Initial response on first adoption of policy was excellent but renewal experience was very poor.

I ended up doing the work myself to get a much better quote with my existing insurer before ActiveQuote did any work. They then sent me just one other option with Aviva. Basically they didn't do any work so don't deserve any commission.

I use a broker in the expectation of receiving professional advice about the market and the options available. You seem happy simply to present the existing carrier's renewal terms without providing any such advice.

Poor liaison. Inability to give Yes or No answers - which makes AQ look amateurish or shifty. For 10 days I was stuck between ActiveQuote and the insurance company until I finally reached a senior member of staff at the ins. co. who gave me the lowdown. But all down to MY efforts, not AQ. If a member of my staff performed like this, they would be sent for retraining or they would be out.

I was misold different premiums on Vitality, this caused many delays and when ageing to the final option I was only offered a 40% discount to Virgin Active and not 50% as agreed in writing - this was very embarrassing as I went to the gym hoping to join with this setup...long story short my policy should now have been cancelled

Received my renewal from Aviva, premium increased by some £46 per month, no sign of ActiveQote but two other brokers were trying to find better deals, which they did, reducing the premium by around £35 per month, no sign of ActiveQote. However I contacted Aviva myself and after numerous calls managed to get a reduction of my premium to £206 PM with no change in cover. Then a phone call from yourselves thanking me for renewing!!

Stoical response from 2 customer service representatives both ill prepared, no empathy. The second representative took advice and in his return call he was androgynous and his response seemed scripted. As I am currently ill and having treatment for breast cancer I would have expected more human understanding and empathy. A poor to very poor experience. I will be changing broker next time.

Insurance is about protection and trust. I made a purchase on the website and I waited. Some days later someone called to ask why if I wanted any more information as I hadn't made a purchase. Again I purchased the insurance product I wanted and nothing further was heard... Then I made a purchase by speaking with an agent and this time I got an email saying here is your quote. Again not the assurance I wanted from buying and insurance product. Still no confirmation of purchase and still not insurance documentation. So who knows if I'm actually covered?! Its a joke! Will not use again
