The holiday was to Tenby journey was fine. As I have difficulty in with stairs I asked for a room which was suitable and was told it was a LOW Floor with a couple of steps to get to it. On arrival these couple of steps turned out to be TWO Flights. The hotel staff practical carried me upstairs, there was a lift but only on the half stair. I There was NO lift from the ground floor at all so every time I went out I has the problem of climbing the first flight of stairs (9 steps) which was very difficult for me as there was only the banister to hold onto. I found when I reached the lift it was easier to go to a floor higher and walk down. As a lot of travellers are retired and of an older age group I didn't see any "grab" rails anywhere. The hotel (The Belgrave) staff, food, service, and cleanliness were fine but NOT suitable for anyone with even a slight disability. First time I had used Alpha and I expected a better service than what I got.

Don’t travel with Alfa if you want a quiet peaceful journey. Just returned from 6 nights in Cromer ( the hotel Hotel de Paris was lovely and the staff kind, helpful and friendly) but the travelling was a nightmare. Loud ‘pop’ music was played constantly by the driver...I resorted to listening to the radio on my phone via earphones but this did not mask the noise...”.it’s like being in a disco” commented a passenger in an adjacent seat. This was also the same on the included excursions, two of which we avoided because of the music. The lunch stop too was poor. For various reasons, not financial, my husband and I take our own food and drink but at the ‘Farm Shop’ stop there was nowhere outside to sit...we had to walk up snd down the dusty car park for nearly an hour and perch on some dusty old pallets to eat. When I raised this with the driver, he was quite rude and commented on the lines...I can’t provide plastic chairs and tables. All in all , what should have been a lovely holiday , and the Cromer part if it was, was totally spoiled by the travelling. We won’t be using Alfa again. A letter of complaint will be posted to them tomorrow.

Disgraceful and dangerous feeder coach service, first and last time I will use Alfa. Service and attitude at Reading interchange was unprofessional and a complete shambles.

Again, another cancelled tour due to lack of numbers. Alfa cannot be relied upon. Our tour was booked in June 2018, departing May 2019. They offer 10% discount as compensation, but we have already had an email offering 10% discount off all Spring 2019 departures. They are a joke Company.

Leisureplex, refuse to disclose where they obtained my personal details and have been sending me junk mail. They are possibly in beach of the Data Protection Act 2018 by adding my details to a marketing list and refusing to cooperate on removing it.

We feel we MUST complain about our last holiday with Alfa, Christmas at PORTHCAWL. Going down to Portcawl went well, really looking forward as we spent the previous year there. Christmas Dinner was not the same standard and the portions became smaller. Whatever happened. Anyway we still enjoyed are stay. The room was very nice. The journey home was something else. We spent a good two and half hours at Strensham Services on the M5, One hour for Lunch, One and half waiting outside in the car park for the third party coach to arrive, By the time we got on the coach everyone was very cold. At 14 30 we set of for Burtonwoob services, arrived around 17 00. Needless to say all the feeder coaches had gone. Told By the lady in charge, to get a coffee and come back in 20 minutes as she had booked some taxis, which we did. Waited on a very cold night for the taxi to arrive, 2 & a half hours later our taxi arrived to take us home. We where told we had to go to Runcorn first to drop off a fellow passenger, and then all the way back to Lytham. We had a disagreement with the lady in charge, and she decided to send us home in our own taxi, the man from Runcorn went with people going to Preston. Arrived home at 21 00 hours. Not happy. Since we arrived home both my husband and I have been ill, still to this day 9th Jan not fully recovered. This is not the first time we been disappointed, but it will be the last. I feel that because your customers are mostly elderly, they are not treated with the care and attention they deserve. Therefore after using your company for meny years, we have decided to go elsewhere. Very disappointed. Got home Setting off for our homeward journey we had to stop at a service

Iwe went to isle of man same time as k Steele and as he said it was one of our worst holidays with Alfa .we wasted 2days getting there .we had to stay at Blackpool over night at the queen's it was far better the best hotel and food was 100% better and would have had loads to do .isle of man nothing to do .I would have preferred to stay in Blackpool for the week .I think Alfa should give everyone that travelled with them to Ilse of man some sort of compensation

7 day trip to isle of man; worst holiday ever had, two days to get there ferry broke down had to get passenger ferry instead, as busses are not allowed onboard. had to walk over 100yards to ship carrying suitcases with disabled wife as well as other disabled passengers on trip. hotel poor lots of stairs to climb carrying suitcases as no staff available to take cases to rooms. rooms tiny double bed in single room no room to move. food poor quality and poor variety, staff miserable. terrible holiday altogether.

the journey back home was horrendous, why we had to go from Dunoon to Stockton-on -Tees was beyond all reasoning, admittedly the hotel in Stockton, was ten star compared to the Selbourne in Dunoon, and the food at Stockton was heaven compared to the muck served up in Dunoon, also the bar prices in the Selbourne were beyond belief, £4 -20p for a bottle of beer, never again with Alfa, once bitten ,twice shy, on the plus side ,the driver (Dave) and Andy the barman, and bingo caller were brilliant, in summary , we could have stayed an extra night in Dunoon (and made the best of it ) instead of the travel over two days we had to do, three days travelling in total we did, horrendous

A really awful trip to Torquay, nothing wrong with the hotel but the actual journey was hell. The driver wasn't everyone's cup of tea but we found him okmand he did have quite a lot to put up with in the way of other travellers. We were collected from our pick-up point at 7.50 am,we were the only ones to be picked up from there so it was looking good.We were meeting our tour coach at Burtonwood, which is about 25 mins from our pick up point at the most.Something Alfa don't advertise in their tour brochures/info is the incredible journeys, the unbelievable tour of the Merseyside area lasting an incredible 3 HOURS to get you to Burtonwood!!! When we eventually arrived we were told our coach to Torquay would be leaving at 11am, so we thought it would only another 10 mins so we got on the coach. However, one idiot had failed to let the driver know that another person was not coming, so after checking and re-checking bags and passenger numbers and much probing this came to light. Phewwww....around 11.30 ish we were off!! There were of course mandatory stops but that did not seem enough for some passengers who seemingly wanted to stop for cigarettes. It didn't seem to matter that the majority just wanted to get on with it. As a result we arrived at our hotel with little time to freshen up for the evening meal as the meal time had been brought forward to 6pm instead of 6.30 because of FOOTBALL. Not my idea of entertainment and to be rushed because of it, not an ideal start to a holiday. Having said that the hotel itself was very good and I have reviewed that independently on Trip Advisor. Of the two trips out we only chose to go on one, to Looe and Polperro. The stops were not long but enough to have a browse around and we particularly liked Polperro. Prior to our return one passenger failed to put their luggage outside their room at the appointed time,so the driver had to search around to find who it was, and surprise surprise, guess who was the last on the coach at the very last minute? This person also, when we got to Burtonwood, jumped in front of me very rudely when I was waiting to be served at the services. We got off to a pretty good start, but again we had at least one extra stop which was great for the smokers amongst us. It was boiling hot and the air con was switched off at the request of ONE man.I would have thought that Alfa would have put the choice in the hands of the majority....but no, we were all forced to suffer the heat. Unfortunately traffic on the M6 was bad so it took some time to get to Burtonwood, but en route we were told at services that another Alfa coach had just arrived as we were leaving and he had to have his 45 minute break. Fair enough, but why was he so behind in the first place? An element of extremely bad planning here, this meant there would be further delay at Burtonwood because of this. Once at Burtonwood, chaos reigned.Of course it was our feeder coach that was way behind on the motorway and people were left hanging around with no clue of when they would actually depart. After a while my partner approached the man in the Alfa kiosk to ask if he had any idea what time we would be leaving there. At that point we were about 25 mins from home, but facing a further 3 hour trip to get there!! The man was unhelpful and when my partner said he was fed up with standing around the man said he was too, and didn't like it when he was told the difference was he was getting paid for it.5.30 came and still no feeder had arrived. At this point we had had enough and called a taxi, which cost us an extra £45 but was ultimately preferable to another tour of Merseyside. When we left Burtonwood at 5.40 approx the feeder coach had still not arrived. Alfa ??? NEVER again. Be fair and publicise your horrendous feeder coach journeys. I don't think any planning or forward thinking is done within this company at all. An absolute nightmare. I have of course complained to Alfa but from what I have read they don't even have the courtesy to reply.

Coach was 2 hours late picking us up from our local pick up point with no apology! When we arrived at the interchange what a joke, absolute chaos, hanging around for 2 hours waiting to board the coach to our chosen destination with no communication from anybody as to what time we were leaving and we were not allowed to sit on the coach until the driver said so and it was a freezing cold morning (he was actually in the warm office at the interchange during this time)! We eventually departed the interchange and when we arrived at the hotel in Bournemouth we were very disappointed, the hotel was down a back street and looked really run down. The food menu at the hotel is is exactly the same as all leisureplex hotels which has not been changed since the year dot so if you are a regular traveller you get the same week in week out and it was poorly cooked, yuk. In fact the whole experience was very unpleasant, especially the interchange, so on our return home we cancelled all our future bookings that we had made with Alfa and we will never travel with them again. Good riddance!

Our holiday to North Wales was advertised with an excursion to Portmerion and referred to on booking from a brochure edition Nov 2016-Dec 2017. It was booked in January (YA815) for a September departure. The excursion had been cancelled but no-one from the company informed us until we reached the hotel in Criccieth (the driver had mentioned the cancellation on the coach in Telford during a break). This is a major change and Alfa are in breach of contract by not notifying it's passengers and defy their own t&c. The reason for the cancellation is an annual music event which is held at this time regularly so no excuse. A substitute to a NT house and garden does not cut the mustard - the passengers are seniors but no way senile and smell a rat. To date no refund has been offered. The meals were of a reasonable standard but you didn't always get what you ordered. The service was chaotic like something from faulty towers.

Had the worst holiday ever with Alfa Travel. Did County Claire and Galway tour on 02.07.17. The coach driver was rude, the accommodation was bad and Alfa Travel's response to complaint is inadequate and smacks of a 'couldn't care less' attitude. Trip was sold as a night on the way out and back in Dublin when in reality the hotels used were miles away from Dublin. The driver did not follow the itinerary but instead went to places where he obviously gets back-handers from proprietors. On 2 occasions passengers sat on the coach in a car park for 45 minutes because nobody wanted to visit the venue he had stopped at. He spent more time selling bottles of wine to passengers than bothering to follow the trip as it had been sold. He was so bad we decided to use public transport for the excursion to Galway which cost us 40 Euros each and Alfa have not even offered to refund the cost of these bus tickets. Having spent £898 on this tour I am appalled that Alfa Travel are not interested in our complaint - I would not recommend Alfa Travel and I will never travel with them again.

My husband and I booked a seven day holiday with Alfa travel, staying at Regina hotel Torquay. 30th July until 5th August. Boarded the coach 7pm taken to a service station to await feeder coaches, eventually set off for Torqauy at 9.30. Bob the drivers welcome on board were I quote " my name is Bob, some of those cases took two to lift. Weight limit is 15 kg, not 30. If they are like that on return, they will be left, as I am not doing it again" How disgraceful to greet holiday makers in such a way, it set the tone for very poor holiday. Bob proceeded with journey without another word. The excursions included were very poor, Two hours to get to Sidmouth with surly driver Bob, only to stay for one hour. Essex was lovely but only two hour stay, and an hour sat on coach in car park, as Bob had to wait for other Alfa coach to follow, onto Teigemouth shoking. Not how I planned to spend my holiday. Room 85'in hotel was ok, but no hot water, only cold to very Luke warm. Manager checked it out, looked at boiler never heard anymore. Cold water for whole week for washing, and shower. Shocking. On return Bob claimed one of our cases may not be onboard, as others helped him load the coach. We just replied we would make a claim against Alfa if that is true. Both cases were onboard, after another hour and half wait at service station on return journey. First time with Alfa, never again. Holiday from hell.
