“We were a party of 4 (young) old ladies and stayed at the Shanklin Hotel on the Isle of Wight for a 5 day Christmas Party. We were very pleased with our stay, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and we had entertainment each evening. A special word for Michael, our tour guide and coach driver. An excellent drive to our destination, very smooth. The excursions filled us with much information along the way as well as our visiting place. He is very knowledgeable and an asset to the company. He kept us abreast of what was going on and when it was happening. All in all a most enjoyable time and for an extremely reasonable price. We'll be travelling with Alfa again”

“Was on a turkey & tinsal, last week to Weston - Super- Mare, Anchor Hotel, had a lovely week, hotel was lovely, but dated but clean comfy beds, fresh towels daily, good was very good, Janet and her staff were amazing, all mucking in together, thanks for a great time, thanks to the driver Ian, lovely guy thanks to you all.”

“We had a driver called Steve.He was brilliant ,helpful and so polite.He drove us to Weston-super-mare on a 5 day Turkey and Tinsel.My friend fell and Steve was there to help her.They rang for the paramedics ,after they checked her over ,they took her to her room to make sure she was well enough to carry on with her holiday.Thank you Steve for being such a safe driver.Margaret .”

“Just returned from a festive special at George 1V Criccieth. Excellent holiday,great value for money. Coach driver Tony was helpful and pleasant, the staff were amazing and food plentiful and tasty. Looking at some of the reviews I don't know what people expect for the money they pay !! As for journey times they have to be coordinated to meet up at the interchange hence the extra stop offs. If you're not happy with the times then you can drive yourself as stated by the previous review This is our first Alfa trip and won't be our last.”

“We have just returned from a holiday to Cromer and stayed at Hotel de Paris.From the driver(Tony),hotel staff,food,half day excursions,hotel was spotless,infact it was just spot on.We travelled down from Bishop Auckland and it all went smoothly.We wouldn't hesitate to return here with Alfa again maybe longer next time.”

“Had a really nice break in Newquay Cornwall 25/10/21 -29/10/21. From the moment our cases were put on board everything was taken care of. Driver John was chatty , knowledgeable and helpful. Food and staff in the hotel were lovely. Trip included entry to Eden project so was really good value.Had a really enjoyable break and will definitely be using your company again”

“Wonderful holiday in Cromer. 7 day trip, hotel was dated but right on Seafront opposite Pier. Rooms comfortable, food fantastic, service and staff excellent. Only one of the Bar Staff was quite surly, other than him everyone was friendly, efficient and helpful. They dealt with a potential COVID issue with a chap on our coach with compassion and discretion, couldn’t have asked for more. Was our first Alfa holiday and won’t be our last, miles better (and a good deal cheaper) than our last trip with Shearings a couple of months ago!”

“We have just come back from a week's holiday at the Cumberland Hotel, Scarborough, what a great holiday, and a great hotel, well recommended, nicely decorated throughout, comfy rooms,excellent staff, good food,I am Gluten Free,and they had everything to suit my needs,a good choice every mealtime,including bread rolls and toast ,and a great choice of sweets ! Rooms don't have a sea view,as they face a park on both sides ,only a short walk into the town centre,train and bus station! You can get a but direct into Whitby ,takes an hour !”

“Only my Second Trip with Alfa this time Scarborough for five days From the start to the end Fantastic From the Coach in the Hotel to the days out The Cumberland Hotel was brilliant The Service The Food to the Bar Staff Very Friendly cant do enough for you really helpful went out the way to help people and the Entertainment was good too I have booked my next trip there for next year as it was that good cant wait to get back again Lee”

“Just back from St Anne’s/Blackpool tour. Booked thru David Urquart Travel. Our second tour within a month. First tour to Dunoon, driver David, superb! This tour to St. Anne’s/Blackpool, driver Mark, also superb! These drivers are a credit to your company. We have so enjoyed these tours, not least because of the attention and care of these drivers! “just returned from a lovely holiday ...Isle of Wight ..Sandown...Bayshore Hotel.....hotel was really good ...the staff were excellent....food very good lots of choices and good portions.....cannot sayone bad thing.....our coach driver was Dave a very pleasant and very professional....he helped me at every stop to get my oxygen (top bloke)....really happy with our holidaywith Alfa...”

“Just returned from a four day self drive ,queens hotel, Eastbourne. The hotel for a cheap and cheerful was excellent, very clean and covid standards were excellent, staff constantly spraying and wiping all communal areas. Room was large sea view ,couldn't fault the place .I'm very very fussy but I would return and believe me I'm hard to please 😁.the hotel is 18th century so a little dated ,don't expect corporate although the staff are very professional, friendly. Give it a try 😉”

“First time with Alfa Travel from the start of my holiday from getting on the Coach in Blackpool to my Feeder Coach onto Eastbourne the Hotel the Queens to the days out everything fantastic cant fault it for anything all the food and facilities fantastic including all the staff in the Hotel A great first time with Alfa excellent value for money will be booking again”

“I have booked a 4 day Isle of Wight tour. I needed to make some amendments to my booking. Tracey from Alfa Travel has been wonderful and patient with me and has tried her best to sort this out. Calls/emails to the company is immediately answered. I really liked their amazing customer service. Would definitely recommend them and I will be booking with them again.”

“Alfa traveller for over ten years. Firstly may i just say the grammer of some reviews on here is absolutely appalling.Alfa travel don't and never have professed to be 4 or 5 star accomodation. They cater for and older traveller yes true, however the hotels are not like nursing homes, because of covid restrictions things have had to be altered including, room service, meals and entertainment.That is the LAW they have had to follow. The Regina admittedly is an older establishment that needs a touch up but its value for money, very close to sea front staff are very helpful and issues usually resolved. We travelled on may 19th this year the meals breakfast was fine , evening meals ok we did have a repeat meat on menu two seperat nights but as we had only just come out of official lockdown on May 17th, it was probably not cost effective to have freezers full of food that may go to waste, also the companies where Alfa buy their produce will have been on lockdown too OR operating on reduce sales due to lack of business. Whilst I agree its totally unacceptable to have to stay in a building site, these hotels need to carry out essential repairs and try to redecorate at some point, this then prevents people complaining about the hotel needing to be redecorated.To complain about the hotels being for people of a certain age is quite disrespectful, they cater for any age i personally have stayed at the imperial at ilfracombe and a young family were staying through an Alfa booking.The company picks you up at local pickup cases loaded for you, taken to Burtonwood, cases off loaded and reloaded onto your main coach, driven to destination , cases off loaded brought to bedroom door, and same on return leave cases outside bedroom, Meals B N B board, excursions included, evening entertainment if you so use to join in, and apart from building site hotels obviously , i think that they offer value for money.People complain about the staff and language barriers, i wonder how they feel when housekeeping have to clean some rooms out after elderly visitors have left !!!!! need i say anymore.Alfa are not perfect but they try to ensure we enjoy our holidays for the majority of people they are very popular.”

“Went to croit Anna hotel fort William 7 days hol. Food ND room ND staff excellent. Only one gripe about the interchange at bowburn on returning. Would get off at Newcastle if we did similar trip again. Overall smashing holiday. Driver Kevin was pleasant and helpful. Thankyou Alfa. Kath and ken.”
