When they sell you a product that's not fit for purpose they put the onus on rectifying it entirely on you. I had a dishwasher fail in less than 3 years despite being in pristine condition and having had very light use, and yet the expectation is that I have to shell out 40% of the value of the product to get it fixed. They use their selling of dodgy products as an opportunity to upsell you various service packages.

Company defrauds clients on refunds by only refunding 90% of the original price. if you encounter this what you can do is: Dispute with your bank to charge back the remainder, they cannot charge a 'restocking fee' or whatever they want to call it.

BEWARE😱.don’t ever let those people fit anything for you,I ordered a washing machine for my two elderly parents both 80 , I paid and chose the option for all the extras ,taking of old appliance and fitting the new one so I had no worries would all be dealt with ,my father sadly has dementia so the washing machine is in constant use ,I had just left my parents house at 3 and my mum phoned to say machine was in 10 minitue later she was Hysterical as the washing machine was flooding the house I had to fly round there it took six blankets and six bath sheets and had to keep ringing them out quite a lot for a pensioner to deal with I Telephoned AO to get somebody back quickly to sort it to no avail my husband came home from work at five and had to fly round to deal with the problem After complaining they decided they would give me £40 I think it cost £40 to wash and dry all the blankets and towels just added insult to injury shocking just glad my parents hadn’t slipped up and all the mess

I had ordered a Neff fridge/freezer which was delivered in the worst state possible (most of the plastic containers inside cracked). When I requested them to send me substitutes for these,I was refused and asked to negotiate with Neff directly. They assumed no responsibility and between both of them did nothing from the customer's perspective except to burden me with a cheap second hand appliance Never again did I dare purchase any appliances from AO.com A zero star rating would have been most appropriate, had it been available

I ordered this Sony KD43X89JU TV this morning, a couple of hours later I received a call from A.O. confirming delivery and to inform me that due to the size of the TV and the amount of electronics inside, that a sound bar would be needed as the TV speakers were too small. "So i'll just add that to the account shall I" were the words of the arrogant A.O. staff. When I said I didn't want it he was amazed, asking why on earth I didn't want to enhance the sound from my new TV for a mere £89. After we eventually got passed that I endured approximately 5 minutes of him talking about insurance and when he finished I only just caught him saying that he'd set it up and I wouldn't have to pay the first month. When questioned, he was basically just putting me on their insurance. To be honest, I was used to 1990's hard sells, but this was just dishonest. I have since cancelled my order and recommend you don't touch A.O. with a barge pole.

After waiting in all day for delivery of new cooker, and checking the tracker, which kept saying delayed but would be with you, when it got to 10pm but had no delivery or phone call figured it wasn't coming, phoned the next morning to be told it was the drivers fault and it couldn't be delivered for another 2 weeks as they didn't have enough engineers, will NEVER use ao again, bunch of jokers!!!!!!!

That was my first and last order from AO. We have delivered and installed a washing machine to our new built home and one of the delivery guys asked to go to the toilet. The day after we realized that he stole from a box inside the bathroom a wedding ring and engagement diamond ring that both cost 2k. Such a shame for AO to have employees who steal personal belongings from houses. Reading the reviews here, I have noticed that I am not the only one. Avoid this company at any cost.

Took £900+ out of my account then told me I didn't have an order!!! Currently raising a dispute with my bank. Saved hard for a gift for my daughters 18th & had the money taken by ao. Now have no computer and no money. Customer service were very embarrassed but none the less useless. Take your money elsewhere!

They cancel the delivery 3 times last minute because driver couldn’t park in central London. Last try was on a sunday with no parking restrictions but still they couldn’t manage. No call or anything they just leave and don’t say a word. Absolutely terrible service. Please do not buy anything from this company. I promise you will regret it.

I ordered a cooker for £199.i put it in twice when buying so was charged twice..i rang up and explained they said i would be refunded....am still waiting for my refund...

Do not buy a phone from this company. Disgraceful service. Worst experience I have had in my life. I ordered my phone then ten days later they emailed me to say they didn't have it. After numerous calls I was to!d they had a different colour phone so I agreed to have that. The next day I got a sim card instead of a phone. They then said they would not charge me the first monthly payment, they took the payment the next week. Absolutely disgraceful. DO NOT USE THEM

All they can to do was replace the gas hob and electric cooker in EXACTLY the same place as the my old, moody installer, spent ages muttering under his breath about wiring before declaring that the manufacturers specific for the hot zone was different from a.o online....and yet the hot zone is fine on standard hot zone and my previous gas hob has been there for 17 years, he didn't want to help, left my gas boiler on the wrong settings so I didn't have heating all morning and he broken the door on the gas meter outside and didn't bother to say, shitty old van he turned up in, absolutely awful, will never use again, stay well clear of this company.

New washing machine delivered paid… New washing machine delivered paid extra £50 for disconnecting re-connecting and removal They have left me with a machine that is leaking under the sink where they connected the pipe to the cold water ! I rang them within 10 mins of them leaving to advise they have left it leaking to be told they would come back after their next delivery this evening this was at 5:23pm it’s now 8:28pm They have not returned and When I have rung the number it now says no record of my order ! APPALLING SERVICE 😡😡😡 I have had to turn the water off can’t use the washing machine and have been left with a leak CAUSED BY YOUR CONTRACTORS PS : don’t use the weather as an excuse ! AVOID THIS COMPANY and please read all the other reviews on other review sites You take £50 and don’t provide a service You have left me with a water leak !!! By bodgit and scarper

We bought a washing machine from AO... problems with delivery... then the washing machine stopped working... we've been over the phone with them numerous times, after 20-30 min on the phone to be told that I have to leave the machine off for 4 hrs and to restart again, this happened in 3 different occasions, even tho I have said that I've been told that before and doesn't work.. this is for over a month. Worst company I ever dealt with.

After first ordering a TV through there ebay shop, TV went wrong in 6 weeks, Wouldn't turn on had to wait a month for them to sort it out and finally had a new one delivered. Next TV just a few weeks after warranty runs out TV wont light up, after AO saying they would help, all they done was offer £50 off a new TV from there website. Dont believe any TV worth £350 should fail just after 2 years. Wont be shopping with them ever again, customer service useless, spent more on phone calls then the voucher off they wanted to give. Joke company Stay away

AO What a Joke! Unprofessional, shambles of a company.Paid extra for express delivery yet still no one was able to contact delivery drivers to notify delivery arrangements. Live chat seems to be a robot. Extremely poor service from start to finish, I cancelled my order and purchased from Currys. Worst experience ever would definitely NOT recommend.If you want a job done properly call the professionals not the monkeys!

I paid for supply and installation of a new dishwasher. The installer didn't connect the water pipe correctly leading to a flooded floor. The installer also ripped the lino floor during the intallation and tried to cover his tracks. I spent hours installing the dishwasher correctly and complaining - including providing documentary information and quotes. AO offered me no compensation. I am now left with a ripped floor that I will have to replace out of my own pocket, thanks AO! This company are truely awful!

Timeslot for delivery of new cooker was given as between 11am & 3pm, would receive a phone call when driver 30 mins away. So they arrived 10.25 and without a phone call. They disconnected & removed old cooker, tested gas supply. Then advised they can't install it due to where it was to go (despite having just removed the old one from the same place). Brought the new one in & left us with it. At least they arranged for the installation charge to be waived. Took most of the afternoon, but I unpacked & fitted it myself. Seems rather strange that it was not an AO van which brought it. No advertising there. Did they not want to fit it so they could finish earlier in the day? Tend to wonder, as some friends had the same experience only 2 days later.
