Ordered a washing machine, delivery and installation was on time and was easy to order and arrange. Discovered a leak under the sink the following morning.. Contacted AO and they arranged to send a plumber out, a week later was the first slot available. The plumber failed to turn up on the agreed date. AO offered me a refund of £20 by way of an apology. AO then offered me a date a couple of days later, I explained that I could not be home until 3.00pm that day. AO state that they are unable to book times in. I felt that as they had not only caused the problem, had failed to turn up at the first appointment that they should accommodate me in my wish for an appointment after 3.00pm. They agreed to pursue it with the team and get back to me. They didn’t! I rang again and was told that they had rung and got no answer and had left a message! They hadn’t, no messages or missed calls on either of my phones. I became so frustrated by the appalling service I arranged for a local plumber to fix the leak which he did in a matter of minutes. I telephoned AO to advise them that I no longer required a visit. They offered me a £10 voucher to use on a £40 spend with AO, I declined.

Made a right mess of my order ended up cancelling and will not use them again.

Hi, customer service has let you down. i was due to take a washing machine monday the 9 dec, delivery time states 7-7pm. when confirming the order i told the guy on the phone to deliver between 4-7pm. even email you to confirm delivery. not all of us can take whole days of to wait in for deliveries. driver phone me up around 12.30. to say he was outside my house. due to fact i wasnt there the machine didint get droped off. next delivery date was on the thursday 12th dec. due to fact we have now been with out a washing machine 7 days already. i have decided to cancel my. email, phone, live chat. and still have got my refund . absolute shambles of a company . i might be only one person. but word can soon spread. customer service......was not here for me...shambles.

Ordered LG TV for delivery on Monday. I took time off work to receive delivery of this TV. On Sunday afternoon I receive a phonecall from AO telling me that the TV is not in stock. This is not acceptable service. I will not be using this company ever again.

Would never purchase from this company again, purchased a tv which was shoddy made and cannot be repaired due the manufacturing methods used. Customer service were very forthright to advice me to take my complaint to the ADR retail, which was done the same day but has AO will be aware their is a backlog of Complaints at the ADR. My lesson has been learned that I will only purchase large electrical items from the likes of Costco John Lewis who has standard include the 5 year guarantee included.

Shocking from start to end. Item had quite clearly been re-wrapped and had been used before. After arguing I got a refund. Sales pester you to death for after sales insurance.

Purchases washing machine, promised premium installation, no so, washing machine was dropped hard onto conctete outside frkm hand truck then absolute bodge rush job of an install! They then proceeded to start the washing machine filling with water with the instructions piopework and accessories still inside the machine drum... I had to shout to get them to stop!!! Absolute diabolical negligent lunacy from these delivery installers, NEVER EVER AGAIN ... better off DIY at least you will treat your NEW equipment and your property with respect and NOT damage it! I complained on the telephone to AO.com and emailed the complaint in too!

Shocking customer services. If you buy from them make sure you don't have any problem with appliances they will let you down. Christmas around the corner and we are left without cooker for the unforeseeable future... Thanks ao.com

Washing machine purchased and when it was delivered the floor at my front door was scratched and the floor outside my kitchen was scratched. Delivery people took photographs. AO refused to accept responsibility despite the fact that the scratches are about 53 cm apart and the washing machine is about 54 cm wide. Machine not connected property and leaked through to the bedroom downstairs.

I have had several items from AO and because I live in a converted house on the first floor with one flight of stairs they have refused to bring my America fridge freezer up after several failed deliveries eventually it was delivered and now it is my range cooker so 2 failed deliveries today being the second I have paid £90 and £15 for disposable and connection of my new cooker the excuses are my stairs are 2 narrow or it’s u safe the funny thing I already have a range cooker and America fridge freezer they went up we no problems I think the delivery drivers want jobs were they go in on ground floors not everyone lives on the ground floor and as soon as they see something that is a bit of hard work they are not interested I have sent pictures of my stairs to them and told they will send a special crew don’t believe anything they say maybe if the got paid per delivery they done maybe they would attempt to do a job

absolute disgrace, avoid at all costs. cooker arrived 1hr 30 mins outside appointment slot after 6 ignored calls driver responded. cooker was damaged and not fit for purpose, was told it would take 7 days to replace product. absolute joke. will never recommend AO to anyone and will take every opportunity to damage the AO brand reputation.

avoid at all costs!! given a 3 hr delivery window arrived 1hr and a half late. 6 calls to driver before getting a reply. cooker broken upon delivery. Told it would take 7 days to replace product. absolute joke. will never use again and will ensure I damage the AO brand reputation at every opportunity.

Rogue traders who will flat out refuse to accept any responsibility whatsoever for the product they sell you. If it arrives faulty and thereby unfit for purpose they will do their utmost to 'kick the can down the road' rather than simply and honestly adhering to The UK's online and distance selling laws and regulations. They will use a host of nefarious practices to try and confuse and intimidate the customer and deliberately over-complicate the returns process in order to avoid fulfilling their legal obligations as an online retailer. Please do not make the same mistake as me and steer well clear of these charlatans. A few extra pounds spent at a reputable retailer will save you so much more time, trouble and even cash in the long run.

THE WORST DELIVERY EVER. Probably the most disrespectful men who literally had no clue on what they were doing, turned up to my door. Had a bad attitude - clearly did not want to be there. Complained about the stairs as one of the men couldn't be arsed to carry the washing machine up some stairs...i don't know why he chose to work here if he has such an issue with stairs. Wasn't professional at all, told me they get taught in a classroom and this was his first time fitting in a thermostat. I can't actually express how angry I was, and couldn't actually get my head around how dumb these people were.

I would give zero stars if i could. Ordered and paid for a coffee machine 24th Oct with delivery date selected for today (08/11). I have been told today they are no longer in stock and don't know when they are getting more in. I now have to wait for a refund and find it elsewhere. It is a present that was needed today!!

Prices are ok, matchable by others but ok. This means nothing when the customer service is awful, self employed delivery drivers really couldn't give a hoot. Talking to a person in the AO office called "Logistics Team" didn't help. stay away. better out there. Driver turns up and then leaves as he didnt have time and was concerned as he is self employed and has targets to meet. Try the company that is never knowingly undersold. MUCH better same prices.

Avoid AO and use another company. I know how bad they are because I work there. When i first started there I took advantage of the staff discount list. The item I received was scratched and dented. The driver offered to fit it and I never noticed until 18 months later when I took the appliance out to decorate. The sales centre staff call you every bad name under the sun once you are off the phone if you dont take the pointless insurance, I once saw a guy banging his desk and flipping out because he couldn't get a sale. Delivery staff and fitters hide the damage to appliances when they are in your home (as I found out) Stock all comes from one large warehouse and is crammed on to trucks and sent to outbases which increases risk of damage. They buy large quantities of end of line stock which sits in the warehouse for long lengths of time so check you are getting the right code as you may not be getting the same model and features as newer stock from other suppliers. They have a repackaging department with large teams working 24/7 repacking unwanted items and sending them out as new. Remember you get what you pay for.

The worst! Ordered a washing machine and when they arrived I was told by one of the chaps that the other didn't like stairs..?! Said he would talk to him and be back in 5 minutes but they drove off instead. Total waste of time. I knew I shouldn't have bothered with AO due to the menacing insurance calls they make. This confirmed it. Will never buy from again.

Ordered coffee maker. arranged for delivery at local shop. AO delivery company tried delivering 4 times- each time told item was too big for store to process. No communication from AO. Called. Waited 3 times 15 minutes or more wait before I hung up each time. Eventually spoke with them. I asked for delivery before Saturday (3 days time) - couldn't guarantee it. Eventually cancelled order only to be told a refund will take 5 working days while they keep the interest!
