had to use them back in October/November totally trashed my car, door cards torn ,scratched window tint on the adjacent windows bent the quarter-light door bar scratched paint work to the car i then had to change my windscreen too and as they are the perfered repairer my insurance company said i needed to use them so i agreed to use them on the conditions they would put right all they had done wrong which they agreed to do they sent out a engineer to assess the damages and it was all lodged and pictures taken i was told buy their guy it was appalling and how this has happened was beyond him and that they would put it right so i agreed to let them do the windscreen ,paid the money as requested they then told me an engineer would come out to me on the 13th Jan on the 13th jan i call them to find out what time they would be coming as i had not herd anything from them i was then told it was cancelled with no reason why on there system they called back said they would be there tomorrow first thing which i was delighted by. they came at 9 am and didn't leave till 1 pm after telling me it was a 2 hr job so that messed my whole day up but to be fair to the engineer there was doing there best just a problem jobs even after all this they still never rectified the problems from back in October and i have been on the phone for over 1 and a half hours on hold on Thursday 35 minutes Friday 28 minutes and today still on hold and it has been 45 minuted and counting i call the number was given 03336964548 by engineer and booked on jobs last time still no answer can believe this national company is treating me like this and let people know if you decide to use this company then be very very aware do not let them leave till you are happy with there work

ABSOLUTELY USELESS COMPANY . BOOKED ME IN TWICE FOR WINDSCREEN REPLACEMENT, THEY CANCELLED ON THE DAY ON BOTH OCCASIONS . HAD TAKEN TIME OFF WORK TOO . WENT ELSEWHERE TO A DECENT FIRM . AVOID AT ALL COSTS . THEY ALSO DONT LIKE ANSWERING THEIR PHONES

In keeping with recent other reviews this company seems to have lost the plot! I contacted them via Post Office Car Insurance mid December. Given appointment for 2nd Jan. No-one turned up and no call or text sent to me. It took 2 full days to make contact with them., which had to be done via Post Office Insurance because Auto Windscreens 0800 number just keeps you hanging on... New appointment 7 Jan - when guy turns up he says he can't do it because his canopy is not big enough for a Tiguan! Next new appointment offered was for 19th January. In the meantime complains to insurer who send me Autoglass who did the job with 4 working days. Trying to cancel the appointment with Autoglass problematical as impossible to contact them. Left to insure to cancel them. Autoglass recently merged with AA windscreens it seems - outcome = chaos! AVOID!

This is now the third time I have been rescheduled on the day. My replaced screen is leaking. They were not able to offer a prompt appointment to make the initial replacement and then phoned on the day of the appointment to say the technician was not available. Finally replaced the screen on Christmas Eve. ( The technician scratched the woodwork of my car interior in the process - something which I only noticed a few days later). The screen has leaked ever since. Difficult to arrange a convenient appointment - they are all at the company's convenience and then the appointment was cancelled on the day this week - no technician available. Rescheduled for today after some fairly forceful negotiation on my part, and now cancelled as the replacement screen is not available. I am not a complainer, but I don't think I have ever had such bad service from any company. Look at the reviews - something has happened to this company recently. Avoid!

What a shambolic company! Booked to have my windscreen replaced on the 19th of December. The first possible appointment was on the 31st December which I accepted. On that morning I was told that their technician had phoned in sick. I was given a second appointment of 11th of January & on that morning I was texted to phone their head office, they told me that their technician had again phoned in sick . They would contact their local office to let me know of their intentions, which they failed to do. I cancelled the work & arranged with another national company to replace the windscreen the next day at a local depot. Do Not Use Auto Windscreens if you want satisfaction.

I wish there was a zero star as I would pick that. Turned up 2 hours late , fitted the job in the dark so when I looked in the morning the wing mirror is not fitted properly , the rubber gasket is loose around the window and my plastic internal door handle has been butchered using a screwdriver to get the door panel off. When I rang to have it put right the lady on the phone said " well someone will ring you next week as its the weekend " . Well ok I'll tell the rain that shall I , pleas come back next week and don't wet my internal door and all the electrics for my windows and mirror because it the weekend you know!!!!!

Never,never use this company !, 1st appointment - wrong windscreen , 2nd appointment - no show followed by hours of phoning to ensure correct screen and convenient time. 3rd appointment - wrong windscreen again, does anybody talk to each other ? More phone calls 4th appointment - no show , more calls, 5th appointment - finally fitted ! Day after windscreen fitted , Autowindscreen phone me to say as engineer could not contact me to confirm appointment , could they make another one. When I explained the work was complete, he said " are you sure? " . You could'nt make it up !!

Worst customer service I have endured ever. Impossible to talk to anyone who can solve s problem. Have been waiting for my latest phone to be answered. Only 80 minutes so far. And they won an award ???????? I suppose it's small claims for me.

1st appointment : no-show. 2nd appointment : changed the time of day without telling us, so arrived and we were at work. 3rd appointment : brought wrong windscreen, even though we had braved their phone system and spoken to two people to clarify the model needed - both times we were told that their systems were down and the message would be passed on. The fitter took note of which windscreen we needed and went away.. 4th appointment : brought another windscreen but still the wrong model. 5th appointment : arrived and told my wife they can't do the job because it's too wet and windy to erect their canopy! She asked whether they've heard of the weather forecast and also mentioned that we could have cleared space in our double garage if they had informed us promptly this morning. Complete waste of space - we have cancelled the order and insisted that our insurance company appoints a more experienced company - note this one only started a few years ago and is appalling, based on our saga of missing work on 5 occasions in the past 3 weeks.

Been waiting over 2 weeks for a replacement screen, the appointment had a 4 hour arrival slot and 10 mins before the end of that slot I get a call to say nobody available, see you in January ! I wouldn't mind but they know how important it is to get the screen changed as the car is needed for a foreign 500+ mile road trip. Very disappointed especially as other well known companies would have done the job by now ! Will look at changing insurance companies after this experience as well as it seems poor customer service and bad service go hand in hand.

Dreadful service!! Avoid this company if you possibly can. I am so far onto my 3rd appointment, and am none too confident my windscreen will be replaced before Christmas. Nobody ever rings you up to say they are not coming. I've logged 2 complaints with Auto Glass over the last 14 days, and still not had a reply from them! My insurers (RAC Insurance) have also spoken to them ( I also logged a complaint about Auto Windscreen with them). My car is illegal, with a crack approx. 350mm long on the windscreen, and growing!. I could go on, but it all falls on deaf ears at Auto Windscreens because nobody seems at all interested. I see an earlier reviewer is saying, AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!, and I could not agree more. Repeat, dreadful service!!

I would make sure that all friends and family steer clear of Auto Windscreens. I have had nothing but trouble since choosing to use this company. First of all at booking I called on the day to make sure everything was going ahead as I had no communication at all. After speaking with the third call operator they finally found my details to explain that my status of job was 'open' meaning that an engineer was not appointed to my job. Having taken the day as unpaid holiday I was disappointed to hear this but what was worse was that I was not even informed the job would not be going ahead! This was the re-arranged. Lets just say that Auto Windscreens were true to their first disappointment and followed in suite as this time when again not being informed I was told the job would not be going ahead as the glass had not been ordered. A windscreen replacement and the GLASS has not been ordered. Auto Windscreen - how ironic. Another wasted day of no pay. I have always asked for my money back and have requested a call back from the complaints department from the second time this happened. I have never received a call from the complains team who are suppose to respond to a call within 7 working days, well hear I am 15 working days and counting still calling and still requesting a call back from the complaints team. This has caused me nothing but stress and very annoying head ache. When the work was completed on my windscreen my window wipers do not line up as they previously did and the inside of my dash board had mud and dirt all over. The glove compartment also gained a filthy display of boot prints. Thank you Auto Windscreen. You really out did your self. Please what ever you do avoid Auto Windscreens at any opportunity. I will continue to inform friends and family of the shocking service I have received. I am still waiting by the phone for a call back from the complaints team and under no illusion I will be waiting a very long time! STAY AWAY from AUTO WINDSCREENS!

Went to auto windscreens through AA insurance called them five times over two day. Told their systems were down and various other b/s. Operator sounded frustrated, I'm sure it's not there fault. Bad useless management, alfull service, avoid!!

VERY POOR!!!!!!!!. Many no shows appointments with no contact. When I did get through by phone , to them kept blaming computers. Had to go back to insurance company and get another company to do the job. Will never use again and would warn anyone needing a windscreen to avoid this company

Unbelievably bad service! Reported broken screen on 14th October. Took the job away from them on 1st December. In this time 8 appointments made and either cancelled by them, no show or wrong date. Excuses were:- screen not delivered to them (twice), Delayed by bad weather, Screen damaged (twice), Wrong trim, Small fitting part missing, Wrong screen. All this is spite of frequent phone calls from me to depot and head office and promises by various "management" to oversee or monitor the situation. The final straw was when an appointment for PM on Wednesday 2nd December was confirmed by SMS as being AM on Tuesday 1st and then cancelled "cracked screen". Avoid them like the plague and don't let your Insurers push you into using them.

so far one of the worsts companies that i have ever deal in UK booked 5 weeks ago and still didnt get any re pair done . re scheduled 3 times !!! Please avoid them

Booked this company as my windscreen had been hit with two stones and had cracked. Was easily booked in for 5 days after the event. Then had a phone call less than 24hrs before my appointment to be told they don't carry my window in stock, needs to come from a dealer and it would take another 7 days!!!! WHY BOOK ME IN AND THEN TELL ME THE DAY BEFORE THAT YOU DONT HAVE MY WINDOW!!! Surely you would know if you had it or not the day I gave you my details and you booked me in!!!! This is a disgrace as I don't wish to use my car with a giant crack in the windscreen!!! Why not tell me on the day or have atleast ordered it on the day you booked me in to save me time!!!! What a load of bollocks!!

I have now been waiting over 4 weeks for my windscreen to be replaced... They did not turn up for the 1st appointment and when I called that evening to ask why they said there had been a computer error and the job had not been assigned to a technician. The day before the 2nd appointment they rang to cancel with the same excuse and they have just called now to cancel the 3rd appointment, with the same excuse again - despite the fact I rang them on Friday to check that everything was going ahead fine. Unbelievably they have now offered me a date over a week away - by which time I will have been without the use of my car for over 5 weeks! The worst service I have ever encountered

Utterly and fatally incompetent. Unfortunately my insurance company use them, and so far I have had one cancelled booking (glass not delivered to installer), one visit with the wrong glass, and last Thurs- another cancelled booking (no reason given). I have had a few text messages and calls, but sadly, no actual windscreen replacement I do think that there are some competent people working there but they are outnumbered by the incompetent and hampered by inadequate dysfunctional systems. The consequences for me have been a car that is now not useable as I have missed 3 MOT appointments. If you are paying for your own screen, please do not use this company. They deserve to go out of business.
