I would never recommend this insurance company , extremely bad service I've got the best car insurance policy they have to offer which is aviva plus appalling customer service very bad experience. I can't wait for my year to finish so I can change insurers will never recommend to anyone . Made a huge mistake choosing them as my insurers

Very good customer service, answered my query for multi car insurance in a way that made it easy for me to understand. Talked through options for me and updated my on line purchase to meet my needs

Really bad I got insurance from aviva but through a broker they used academy insurance service. They have just billed me for leaving the company as I sold my house and didn't need to insure it. They have claimed 60% of the premium for safety and danger premium on the account. I refused to pay but they said its in the cancellation which my broker didn't explain to me. I would use these or any other these people again ever. Get independent insurance it's cheaper and make sure you ask them on the phone what the charges are when you need to leave.

Following you’re advertising on TV for multi policy insurance I rang to receive quote. My current policy is due for renewal with Admiral. Quoted £1400. For the same policy information. Aviva came back with a whooping quote of Wait for it. £3900.70😂😂😂. BEWARE

My car was written off in an accident; within an hour my car had been picked up, I was offered transport to family, a hire car was available next day and a fair settlement was reached and paid into my account within 5 days. Polite, helpful, professional and courteous staff handled every detail. Would highly recommend Aviva.

We are 68 years old and had to cancel a planned holiday due to my husband contracting a serious illness a week before departure. We supplied medical details and confirmation from our gp but Aviva rejected our claim. Seems to me that they are more than happy to take your high premiums off you but don't want to pay anything out on legitimate claims. Don't touch them with a barge pole.

My husband is terminally ill with cancer and they won't send us a claim form out or reply to our emails with questions we have asked. Staff don't know what they are taking about and keep palming you off. All they care about is taking your money. Do not buy anything from them.

Aviva has been great has a car insurer. They got my car fixed after a accident when I reversed in to a post which broke my bumber and tail lamp.. They were very understanding about what happened and got my car fixed within a week.. The repair was fantastic. I didn't lost my no-claims which was Great. I have home insurance with aviva also, this was very good value has I got discount with having my car insurance with them.. I would recommend aviva for both car/home insurance when you need them. Go on give them a try.

As a third party claimant, the service was appalling in my opinion. Took 6 weeks to resolve, 4 times the documents had to be sent, staff who don’t appear to understand the issues and take responsibility for solving them. A fortune spent in many, many calls having to be made to chase this up and on hold for 15 minutes before speaking to anyone. If I was a cynical person, I would express the opinion that they were dragging their feet intentionally to make it difficult. If I could leave a review with no stars, that’s what it would be

Read these reviews before you purchase: https://www.reviews.co.uk/company-reviews/store/aviva Was waiting 2 weeks to hear back from Aviva what is happening with my car. I called them numerous times in between and was fobbed off by them telling me there was no update even though I knew the garage had gone back to them with a quote. Finally received a call from the Assessor saying “you know by now your car is a ride-off”. How would I know when I hadn’t heard anything from Aviva. They then offered me half the value of my car, expecting me to shell out an extra €6k on a new car even though the accident was not my fault and the other driver was completely liable. I did not agree to this. Heard no more from Aviva, but the next day got a call from the Garage asking for my vehicle registration cert so they could scrap the car. This is appalling, even though I had agreed nothing with Aviva, behind my back they were getting rid of my car. Their service is absolutely terrible and I can see why the insurance ombudsman is after them for not paying out on claims.
