Purchased a fitted Kitchen at B&Q Hermiston Gait, Scotland in March 2016 costing in excess of £3.500 paid by Card. The handles for the units were £15.00 per pair x 10 pairs = £150 I checked and the polished chrome finished handles stated on the packaging that they were Guaranteed for 10 years. The chrome started to blister on most of the handles and was informed by B&Q that the Guarantee was one year. ultimately I was able to meet a competent Manager at the Store who replaced all the handles. My advice to you is that you hold on to all packaging showing Guarantee, I was spared having to go to Trading Standards or lengthy Litigation. A verbal Guarantee does not hold up with B&Q. I will not trust them in the future.

I ordered some decking from B&Q's website, where I was allowed to pick the day for delivery. Assuming this could be trusted, and after receiving email confirmation of the delivery day I went ahead and booked in various tradespeople to work around this date. The day before I had still heard nothing, but just assumed this was how B&Q worked and the delivery would be a standard 9-5 the next day. On the day itself I did get a little concerned and after many attempts finally managed to get hold of someone on the phone - it seems they had delayed my delivery and decided not to inform me of such. I understand delivery delays can happen, especially given the current covid situation, but the lack of communication is unforgivable and has left me seriously out of pocket. I would recommend you look elsewhere for your bulk delivery needs.

Crewe store-disgusting creatures work here. Horrible lady works on the carpark, sack this woman. She said under her breath. "Dirty Gits, they are all the same" when refering to an Asian family, they could not understand what the hell she was shouting at them. There is something wrong with this woman. Stay away from this vile racist store.

I was in Falkirk branch this morning for click and collect. Staff were so helpful as I missed something out my order my fault. But staff were so helpful, professional, friendly and efficient. Under circumstances of covid I was a bit stressed and causing a bit of panic with my order. The staff helped through the whole process so quickly. Thank B&Q excellent service

Awful store in Gloucester! If you are ever lucky enough to find staff they are rude and unhelpful. Return process or inability to return plants is ridiculous. Tried to sign up for a B&Q card online 7 times - have yet to be successful. They’ve taken an American concept that works well and are failing miserably at it!

Staff extremely rude in Burton on Trent store. Got to the checkout & was treated like a leper. Was told to "get back & stand in the square"in a very rude manner. The cashier made it quite obvious that she didn't want to be at work. I have worked in retail for over forty years & have never met with such repulsive customer service. Aisles are marked as one way, with many of them leading to a dead end, giving no option but to back track. Will now avoid this B & Q branch at all costs. Civility costs nothing.

Terrible service and very expensive at Paisley branch. Asked a member of staff for help who could barely give time of day to customer and totally uninterested. Charge so much and try to get more out of customers. The individual bolts/screws are not cheaper than pre packed as it is a requirement to fill a full bag. At the counter they don't wear a face mask but they ask customer to stand a ridiculous way back while they scan products. Woman at till rude and condescending speaks to people like small children. I will not return. Will just go online or to small local hardware stores from now on.

Terrible service on the floor and at the till at Paisley store. Asked for help with something on the floor and the assistant hurried and disinterested. Everything very expensive, far cheaper at smaller hardware shops or online. Staff wear no face mask but ask customers to stand back a ridiculous way from the till when they check out goods. Staff member at till rude and condescending I will not return, not worth time or the long queue to get in.

I have brought 3 kitchens from B & Q Not happy with last kitchen and the customer service have said that its our fault. Brought 2 and a half years old and all doors and drawer fronts are peeling ( laminate doors )peeling not only where this might be our fault but in areas where there is no kettle no sink just cuboards on the floor 10 foot away from any POSSIBLE moisture. So if you are planning to put a sink in your house dont buy a b and q kitchen. I will contact trading standards, I will post on FB and help your customers have an imformed overview of your products.

Checked online to see if Bangor Gwynedd store was open today. Said it was. Drove up and a man ran out of the store waving me away like a lunatic. I rang up but no explanation. A wasted 40 mile round trip!

I ordered 8 x stone garden slabs weeks ago. They delivered 7 stone colour and 1 x grey. The one was obviously grey. Called twice now, waited to get through for ages. Still no resolution. Noone has even bothered to make contact consistently poor service.

Under the circumstances of covid-19 B&Q have taken every step to ensure keeping customers & staff safe, secure whilst shopping. It is self service & card payments only which is understandable. I have been to many B&Qs & other retailers & so far hats off to B&Q. They actually have people in positioned to direct to areas & return to sections if example paint department is full. A special mention to Acton Branch in Park royal A40 the queue system is brilliant & the average time waiting is 10 to 15 minutes. Not so many customers are allowed in the buliding compare to other B&Q & retailers I have shopped in recently. Well done guys.

Went to a shop for bits and pieces, found a nice garden table set but had paper sheet on stating this is only for display and have to purchase online, went online, says can buy only at the shop... 🙄 This week tried to buy a saw online but they dont have it in stock filled in the form online to ask when they will restock, at the end of submission of form an error appears, probanly would be the same phoning in.

Staff do not wear any protection, but tell others to keep distance. Are allowed to talk ill of customers, shout at them and tell them to get out of the store. Today we witnessed staff member (Neal) talking to a customer near the checkouts, in relation to what appeared to be an Indian Couple at the checkouts, saying "You know these kind of people, there is nothing we can do", (this was after the man rushed to get something instead of waiting for the staff member), The couple heard this and asked if he was trying to be racist. A female staff member rushed from around 100m away, saying "Did you just call my colleague racist? To which the response was no, just said "Are you trying to be racist?", the female staff member shouted "That's the same as calling him racist, GET OUT OF MY STORE. GET OUT OF MY STORE RIGHT NOW". Unbelievable.

We’ve just returned from the Bury store and I can’t believe how rude one member of staff at the trade entrance was. After spending over £100 on paint we were stood waiting to pay another member of staff shouted out in a very aggressive tone “whose paying, whose paying?”. When I replied it was my husband he said “ well you’ve got to go outside “. We have put up with poor service in the past but this is beyond rude. On a good note the lady on the paint counter is lovely and helpful.

B&Q Doncaster - Horrific attitude towards customers by both the Store manager (Richard) and his team of very young and inexperienced "assistants" We wanted to spend £600 on a furniture set at this store and long story short, checked online to find they were the nearest store with stock. When we go there, the stock was in the warehouse but the "assistants" we spoke to couldn't be bothered to get the stock from the back for us and told us to "come back another day" - when we complained to the Store manager that we'd travelled specifically to that store as they were the only one within a sensible driving distance that had stock, we were then advised that we "shouldn't be making the journey anyway as it was non-essential travel", and he wasn't prepared to put one aside for us even though we were prepared to go back for it. What a delightful attitude - no wonder his team are untrained and rude if he leads by that example. AVOID.

WENT THE XTRA MILE... Just retuned from St Andrews Quay branch in Hull and met with excellent service from a staff member by the name of Harry...no last name needed as was informed “that there’s only one Harry at this branch” ...let’s just say there ought to be more Harrys’ as B&Q needs them in these times ...5 star performance from one and only Harry
