I’ve been trying to get hold of someone from Barrhead travel for five days now with no luck . I understand that you are all very busy at this time but my emails not even been replied to. Very unprofessional attitude towards your customers. I have a balance to pay within a week and can’t get hold of anyone to pay this.

What went wrong the holiday was cancelled by the cruise line.Surely you must get a feed back on your customers progress. Poor customer relations

Beware of Hidden charges / extras not apparent when booking your holiday. We got caught out. You have to click into little links, that don't really clearly explain you need to click on them, it was check out fees of €30 to pay extra to reception on arrival at our Hotel within a resort complex. I felt this should have been on the main information. Won't be booking with them again. Girls on call centre very polite and nice.

Travelled direct from Glasgow to Barbados on Dreamliner to pick up P and O Britannia cruise for 2 weeks around the Caribbean starting on 17th January. The travel arrangements via Tui and P and O and of course Barrhead Cruise specialists were excellent as usual for this holiday. Luggage in at Glasgow taken direct to cabin.and at end of cruise on return to Barbados, luggage off ship direct to Glasgow. No trailing cases around. Please keep this holiday on Barrhead list of cruises available direct from Glasgow,it is such a complete package. The cruise itself was also excellent. Fine food throughout, especially in the Glass House restaurant on board. When it is cold, wet, windy and grey in Scotland, it is hard to think of a better holiday than in the Caribbean when it is definitely not cold, wet, windy and grey.

Had contacted the centre via email to express an interest in joining. They contacted me the next day to organise an appointment to view the facility. Attended last night to be told they were too busy then eventually got sent upstairs and was left wandering around and no staff about. Literally got on my bike and left. What a waste of a night. Thanks

We booked a holiday at Barrhead Travel, Gyle , Edinburgh - never again. They lost our personal details including passport details, not once but twice! One week before flying and we had not received our documents. I telephoned head office and they said they would make sure the documents would be at the Gyle branch waiting for us. Guess what? When we went into the branch, they did not know anything about it! We had booked a premium drinks package for a cruise, which we paid extra. When we got on the ship, they could not find any booking of this! Once this company have your money, they do not want anything to do with you. AVOID THIS COMPANY.

I booked my flight to Sydney and filled out a form to get assistance at the airports and requested an aisle seat. I didn’t get either. What was the point of completing a form when it was not actioned either on the outward or return journeys. I managed to get assistance but not thanks to Barrhead Travel

I got money exchanged at Dundee branch and got home and was 200 dollers short, I complained and they could not find anything amiss, a feeble investigation on their part

Wow! I spent £7500 for a 16 day trip to Canada. Asked for room with 2 beds as my travel companion has mild dementia. Was assured that in north America this was known as a double room and that double rooms had 2 beds. Additional request by BT made to ensure 2 beds. This turned out not to be the case and throughout the holiday we had to request a roll up bed in our room. This caused considerable distress to for my companon. Complaint to Barrhead Travel on my return received a defensive and unhelpful response. Blame put on partner agency in Canada. Barrhead Travel relationship with this partner company is poor if there requests are ignored. Won't be using or recommending Barrhead Travel again

I booked my long-haul holiday to the USA and Mexico with the Leicester team. Sarah Cook was amazing and nothing was too much effort for her or her team. Extremely professional team, everything was perfect! Sarah listened to all my holiday desires and was so lovely and patient. She took everything into consideration-I could not have asked for a better company to book with! The standard of all the hotels and transportation was wonderful! We will definitely be booking more magical holidays with Barrhead again and again! A huge thank you again, they definitely made our family holiday Unforgettable and amazing!

It was our first trip to Canada and the Barrhead team tailored their package to suit our requirements. They were very helpful and flexible, which, together with their knowledge of Canada, helped to create a superb holiday at a reasonable cost. Over the 3 weeks of our stay there were a few glitches - one of the hotels wasn't to the standard we would have expected but, other than that, overall the holiday was amazing.

We have frequently booked with Barrhead Travel in Clydebank. On this occasion we booked a holiday to Benidorm. The staff were very helpful as usual. It was a Thomas Cook holiday on an Easy Jet Plane. Initially I was not happy with that. We stayed at the Flash hotel, the staff in the hotel were really helpful. The flights were very good and everything went to schedule. My only complaint would be the length of time on the bus, leaving Benidorm, on our return to Alicante Airport. We were over an hour before we left Benidorm as we were touring lots of other hotels collecting other holiday makers. We were almost two hours in total! I Will definitely go back to Barrhead Travel at Clydebank but I doubt if I will ever return to Benidorm.

We used Barrhead travel for our Canadian Adventure our consultant was Scott Mcmillan (Glasgow Office) I believe, nothing was to much to, had a question or not understood something - ask and you got the answer, nothing was to trivial.. It could not have been better, it was perfect. Stand up Scott take a bow. What ever our next adventure will be done via Barrhead travel.

My husbands colleagues spoke with staff member Karen re a holiday to New York, when Karen found out where they worked she advised them that she knew my husband and went on to call him a very inappropriate name and discussed personal details with them. My husbands colleagues were shocked that a member of staff would would do this as this is a complete lack of confidentiality, very unprofessional and slanderous. When my husband complained to the shop manager and the director of Barrhead travel they advised that this would be dealt with. After not hearing anything we contacted them again to be told that the matter had been dealt with appropriately? Whatever that means?they will not tell us. Beware if you are booking a holiday in Barrhead travel Falkirk with Karen she might tell you inappropriate details of colleagues, neighbours, friends or family or may even gossip about you! This has been a horrendous experience that no one should have to go through.

Went to the Falkirk High Street shop, dealt with an agent called Karen H an older women, apart from the holiday being expensive for what we required (This is because they are commission based so the more expensive the holiday the more they make) Once she found out where I worked she knew a man and wife from there she started to tell me personal things about them and was quite abusive towards them, I was shocked and found this to be extremely unprofessional. I know the couple then complained to the manager of the shop where she received a slap on the wrist. After what she was saying I thought she would have been sacked. Just goes to show their customer service is very poor and they are basically only after your more I will never go back to the shop I would advise anyone thinking of using this place best avoid.

Very poor aftersales service. Barrhead have taken 10 months and not yet refunded me for their failure to provide transfers in Hong Kong. Leaving my wife and I to make our own arrangements. They agree they failed but do not seem interested in resolving this.

I went on a pilgrimage to Lourdes with Barrhead Travel, Clydebank. This was my fourth time with them. Everything was brilliantly organised from we left Edinburgh. I cannot thank Anthony and Melanie enough for their care and attention throughout our holiday. They were with us the whole week, making sure everyone was happy. The hotel, Astoria Vatican has great staff and great food. I will be back.
