Looks like I have also been naive to order from Bensons. Ordered on 30/08/20. Promised delivery on 14/10/20. Twice confirmed by text that all is well. Then, on the day, there is no sign of them. Called the shop, lame excuse of' our suppliers are delayed'. Phoned the customer service, after going round the circle for 20 minutes, it says 'sorry we are closed'. Why keep me busy for 20 minutes then? Emailed customer service; no response. Ridiculous! I will never buy from them again. Beyond joke. Totally unprofessional! I wish I read the reviews before I paid them.

One star is too many, a negative score would be more realistic. An agreed delivery date was postponed 3 times by Bensons. (This was more than 2 months after the date of purchase of the bed and mattress). When we asked why they had demanded full payment on purchase, but were unable to fulfil a delivery, we were on several occasions given various excuses. My husband has worked for many years in both warehouses and logistics, so knows how the systems work. He wanted to know how we could be asked to pay for goods that we were told were in stock, yet couldn't be delivered. All the staff at Bensons for Beds that we talked to said that the company worked on a different system. Today, by chance, we met an ex-employee of Bensons, who explained everything. Apparently, Bensons tell their suppliers what they are prepared to pay for a particular type of bed. The supplier then tells them that to get that price, they will have to fulfil an order of, say, 400 beds. Thus, if like us, you have placed an order for a particular bed, you will have to wait until sufficient orders have been placed before you will have any chance of having your order delivered. The implications of this are that, like us, you are liable to have your delivery postponed multiple times until Bensons have sold enough beds to meet their agreed price with the supplier. Bensons will never be clear and honest about why an order is repeatedly postponed. We eventually lost all faith and trust in Bensons, and asked for a full refund, which was processed over the phone. We have been made aware that we are not the only ones in this situation. Deal with Bensons at your own risk! There are better retailers out there!

Dreadful and full of liars, dont use this company So where to begin, they do not even deserve the one star. Ordered bed on 30/8/20 promised delivery 15/10/20. Plenty of time you would think to make and deliver a bed. Got a text on the 01/10/20 saying all is good with our new bed and we should expect delivery as promised. Wonderful I thought. Saturday before delivery - a phone call sorry there is a delay until 10 November. How the hell does a bed due in 2 weeks and on schedule suddenly need another 4 weeks to make it. Not happy with this we asked the Bensons shop manager to discuss this and come back to us if he couldnt get the bed as promised - No return call so we think all is back on schedule. 15/10/20 - Bed delivery day - No Bed - spent 1 hour and 7 mins so far waiting for customers services to answer. they answered once at 35 mins, to then put me back at the end of the queue because I had gone through to deliveries and not customer services. Heres the thing - I was expecting a delivery. Trying not to swear here but what a bunch of liars and jobsworths, totally not interested in looking after the customer. They currently do not even rate a one star but you cant go any lower. Cant wait till they answer this bloody phone!!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. We ordered in November 2019, with a delivery date of January. The product was delivered damaged and the delivery drivers refused to take it away. They have tried to deliver four other times and each time the replacement has also been damaged. The worst customer service that I’ve ever experienced, not returning calls or emails. I’ll never shop at Bensons for Beds ever again... I urge you not to either!

Same old story they can't even fulfil the orders they have, and yet every bank holiday there they are hustling for even more business. You want a guarantee here's one for you treat the mattress like a boxset where you binge watch it, actually use the mattress to sleep on while you binge watch a boxset for a maximum 13 days and I guarantee your be starting a return. That's when the fun starts they will blame Covid, they will reply but only with the company line within 10 working days were be in touch which they won't, then when you send a follow up message you will be waiting another 10 working days so already 2 messages will be 20 days, your calls will be cut off but an automated message, and when they are answered your be promised everything from customer services to a call back, to the return will be booked in, your even get a text from someone's granny to say the return will take place with a day and a time but they won't turn up. Then after 2 months you finally get the mattress collected, and do you get a refund after the 48 hours that they spout on about please today is a week already and counting. Always place your order online never in a shop your need the online buyer protection, and open a chargeback with your bank and see who returns you quicker.

I ordered a wardrobe, which came with broken panel. They decided to replace it. The doors of this wardrobe don’t close. I contacted them, the customer services stated it’s wear and tear!!! How can it be that considering I only bought it 1 year ago! The customer service is extremely rude, will not respond to anything and act like the customer is at fault. Please don’t buy anything from them.

I can only echo what everyone else has said about this ATROCIOUS company. It doesn't even deserve the mandatory one star! Order paced in store 19th January 2020 and nearly 9 months later we are still waiting for half of it to arrive! They are using the Pandemic as an excuse which to a degree is viable but it doesn't excuse the absolute ABYSMAL customer care. The customer service and after sales care is the WORST I have ever experienced. DO NOT USE BENSONS FOR BEDS!!!!

Absolutely awful! Ordered beds in May, delivery date cancelled by Bensons 3 TIMES! When they tried to tell me my beds wouldn't arrive until 3rd December I gave up and cancelled the order! What a joke.

Stay clear of these cowboys faulty bed sent out home serve who stated yes it is faulty still waiting for replacement refund ,customer service non existent STAY CLEAR

Appalling customer service Appalling customer service. First delivery the delivery man dropped the bed frame and broke the castors on the drawer on the right hand side and the mattress was dirty and scuffed. He also left mud and dirt up the walls/on the carpet and broke the lighting. Second delivery the mattress was wet through and a left hand side side replacement drawer was sent instead of on the right. Third delivery the new mattress was fine but the replacement drawer yet again was on the left hand side. The delivery man mended the drawer as I could not stomach yet another delivery. Numerous customer service representatives dealt with the issues. It appeared nothing was documented on the system. Promises in total of £100 compensation. Only eventually received £50. At least 10 days to receive a reply to an issue. Unable to contact via telephone since Covid 19. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. It took almost a year and still I have an expensive product which is substandard,

Never again, anytime I’ve bought divan set in my lifetime the headboard was included but this isn’t the case with bensons. Would have bought elsewhere if I had known. Bensons you have just lost another 2 bed sales. Unhappy customer.

The manager at your Orpington branch was unhelpful and rude when we phoned to inform her that we had some bits missing from our new bed: We were going to buy another three beds, but not with this company!!!

Never Ever Again will we look at Bensons for Beds. Bought a king size i-gel so called Firm mattress just before lockdown in UK. Within days we had problems with it subsiding. Telephoned several times and could not get through. Emailed numerous times but did not reply to us. Sent two recorder delivery letters but no response asking for them to take back under the sale agreement. Fortunately we took advantage of the 0% finance so we got the finance company involved who liased with Bensons, who still refused to communicate with us, to send Homeserve to investigate. What a farce!! Do not, repeat, Do Not entertain Homeserve. They are there purely to put the complainant off in our opinion. Decided to sue Bensons and were online and just about to pay for the summons on line when Finance company called to say they were going to refund all monies. Bensons still have not contacted us. A charity have now got a 6 month mattress for free. Moral of this sad tale in our opinion is don't go to Bensons in the first place but if you do and have trouble and you know you are in the right don't give up, spend a few quid and sue them straight away. Only reason we gave one star was to be able to comment. There really should be a rating box on here to show negative stars!!!! What a negative experience!!!!!!

I ordered a mattress on 24-07-2020. Order confirmed and payment taken 25-07-2020. Delivery was set for 23-09-2020. Several text messages over the the last few weeks of September told me the mattress was in their warehouse and ready for delivery. They hoped I was as excited as they were! I called the day before the delivery could be made in the afternoon to avoid taking a day off work. It couldn’t. Oh well never Mind. Delivery day comes but the mattress does not. This is despite a early morning text with tracking link sent saying the delivery would be made today. When I look at the tracking link I am informed the delivery has failed and will not be delivered. No one from bensons for Beds has made any effort to email,text,phone,Write. I called and waited for around 10-15mins to get through to the delivery team. To get through to customer services it was a 48 min wait. Apparently the mattress was not delivered to the warehouse ready for delivery. I give up trying to get through to customer services and instead try to email the customer service team. These emails have been returned by the postmaster. Not sure why that is. I think the 1st managed to get through but no reply. Approx 5-6 days later I receive a email from their internet sales email address saying the mattress wasn’t yet made because of a national shortage of materials. This is a stock item. So now I have been told that Answer A. mattress was delivered to wrong warehouse. B. Mattress was never delivered. C. Hasn’t been made yet/lack of materials I don’t know what one to pick to be honest. As I am self employed I have lost money and will not get it back. I have had no advice apart from the different answers. For me this Bensons for Beds are a bunch of con merchants. Their customer service is non existent and they are generally liars. I am so disgusted by the Teri le service or lack of it that I am going to send all details of this order as a complaint to Trading Standards And make a claim To moneyservices . Gov. (Small claims court)for loss of earnings based on the lies and a failed delivery. Details Again, ordered 25-07-2020 The date now as I write this, 1-10-2020 Emails and phone calls are getting me nowhere. Scott Mathew

Very helpful when you’re interested in buying but not at all interested once you’ve paid. Bought an expensive bed from Bensons but they sold us the wrong mattress unbeknown to us. It was the same but the comfort they gave us was wrong as we wanted firm which was also recommended by themselves after doing checks on our sleep patterns. However the mattress we had was deteriorating quickly and during lockdown they weren’t contactable after several attempts even though they were still working. They told us as it’s outside of the six months warranty there’s nothing they can do. Phone calls and Email after email They just copied and pasted their replies. Lumped with a poor mattress which is only good for the tip. Terrible unprofessional customer service. I would certainly look elsewhere for a more professional outlet other than Bensons who don’t know how to treat their customers properly. Don’t waste your money.....

Truly the worst customer experience ever! Ordered a Slumberdown mattress from Bensons in July and was told it would take about 7 weeks to arrive - from Nottingham! Fly back early from a family visit to be there on the delivery date. No mattress, no call, nothing. After calling was advised that the mattress was not ready for delivery and some insincere apologies. After complaining we were assured of delivery and compensation. Nothing for days until we were told it would now be a November delivery at which point we gave up and demanded an immediate refund. Terrible customer service and now we are without a mattress. Turns out the model we wanted is out of stock everywhere so unlikely we would ever have received one. You start to understand how places like this go out of business, stringing customers along.

Ordered 3 wardrobes in March they cancelled delivery twice 3rd time lucky, but boxes missing on order on Friday now after wasting 1hr on getting through to customer services I have to wait for another 7-10 day’s because the distributor has to book you in for a slot I was expecting (sorry for the inconvenience we forgot to put them on the lorry they will be with you next day delivery ) But no, not to be Get your act together Bensons That’s the last time I’m spending my money with you Appalling service I feel Sorry for the sales teams in the stores they are great !!
