ABSOLUTELY APPALLING! Spent over £1,000 on a bed 1 year ago and since then it's broken TWICE. I've had a replacement bed which also broke! Yet Bensons won't match the cost of a new bed for me! AWFUL! they would rather let me request a refund then help me out! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. BE WARNED.

After being duped into buying a king size divanbed (bespoke by Staples Heirloom with 2650 pocket springs) my husband and I find we can not even move the matress because of the weight. After having the test on the trial bed in store we were immediately led to the top of the range divan and advised this was the bed for us. We are both in our 70s and she knew we were not in the best of health but at no time were we warned about the weight of the matress. Today only four days later I phoned customer services to explain that we would not be able to rotate the matress as advised. We were then told it was not really a complaint and as we have no family were told to get friends round to help us rotate the matress as it would invalidate the guarantee if the matress was not rotated. Customer service is just a joke as is the40 day guarantee. We are now left with a matress that is just as bad as the memory foam we disposed of because of over heating. This is not much better. Another lie from sales staff as was the £55 pillow that was not supposed to heat with usage Total price of £1705 just sheer robbery. Take this advice and stay away from this company who obviously have their staff trained to make a top sale regardless of the needs of the customer.

DONT USE THEM.Service in shop was quite good but delivery was appalling..They couldn't deliver on the day required so I accepted the next day. Said they would call the day before to confirm morning or afternoon delivery but they didn't. I called only to find out it wasn't coming at all. They gave me another date which was later changed again. All terrible for a working person who can't keep being messed around.

DO NOT USE... I was lied to by the Store (Exeter) and told if the mattress I bought was not comfortable then I could have the mattress replaced as part of their 'Comfort Guarantee'...they did this once but refused to allow me to do this again even though the Store rep told me I could...I ended up spending over £1100 on a mattress that is really UNCOMFORTABLE.... Myself and my husband are in pain sleeping on it. I suffer with Fibromyalgia and told them how important it was that the mattress is comfotable...the mattress comfort bore no resemblance to the one we tried in the shop. Every time I have tried to get my money back or a replacement I receive no help and Managers bordering on rude and aggressive!! I would NEVER NEVER use Bensons for Beds again. I am shocked that a national company such as this would lie to customers to achieve a sale and care more about their sales than customer satisfaction and their reputation. I had to give them one star in order to post but wouldn't even give them this. Louise Quick, Exeter.

Memory foam super King mattress purchased December 16. By January 17 it was sagging badly and extremely uncomfortable. It never "recovers" and consequently dips in both places where we sleep with a hump in the middle! We have turned it in accordance with their recommendations. When we complained they sent out someone "independent" who said the dips were only 1cm (we measured nearly 2cm) therefore within tolerance!! Awful quality and we will probably need to purchase a new one just to get comfort. Not from Bensons!

The draws are useless and too difficult to open. When I complained they sent new runners. Now on the 7th set of draw runners which I had to change so it's a good job I'm a carpenter. They sent a 'so called' bed specialist /expert who stated the frame was twisted. Was told "But we have ten years guarantee so plenty of time to keep complaining! They sent a new draw but was wrong colour but I accepted it because I'm fed up complaining. My shadow will never fall on Benson's doors again. The ten year warranty is questionable when they advise replacement of beds very 8 years.

Ordered bed for mother-in-law. Delivery on time. Great they took boxes upstairs and then prepared to leave. When asked about assembly the reply was "oh that's extra - we just bring the boxes in" Phoned store purchased at to be told "You have to ask for assembly at time of purchase ! " When I pointed out that there had been no mention of my 89year old mother in law having to assemble the bed I was asked "So what do you expect me to do about it" Appalling service Will actively encourage friends etc to never use Benson's.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I cannot emphasise enough what a terrible company they are, what a terrible delivery service, and how good the customer services team are at blaming you for any problems. Definitely need to go into liquidation or up their game completely.

bought a mattress and divan from Benson's for Beds in their Cardiff shop. It was delivered two weeks ago and the mattress is sagging badly. I have contacted their customer service team, but they are refusing to help me. They just keep telling me I have to rotate and turn the mattress, which I am unable to do, due to health issues, which I have told them about several times. At NO time did the sales assistant in Cardiff mention anything about rotating the mattress. Rubbish product and a rubbish company. I wouldn't use them again.

What a rubbish company Benson for Beds is !!! I ordered a double bed online 2 weeks ago with expected delivery of 1 to 3 weeks. Got a text this morning saying bed was coming this Thursday between 7am and 1pm. Unfortunately my wife is going into hospital Thursday morning for an operation and i am driving her there early morning and bringing her home late afternoon so called Benson for Beds and spoke to a rude woman named Sam who advised me if i do not accept Thursdays delivery date there would be a £39 additional delivery charge. I said i was not happy about that and any other day for delivery would be fine except Thursday and she refused to change it. I was then transferred to Internet sales and spoke to Annie who said she would put bed on hold and get back to me with a free alternative free delivery date which i agreed to. A while later i had an email saying she had tried to call me but i didnt pick up ( which was a lie as i had my mobile with me at all times with no missed calls ) and earliest delivery date was 21/8/2017 which was another 3 weeks on top of the 2 weeks we had already waited !!! I telephoned my son to see if he could take a half day off work on Thursday to take delivery of the bed and his manager agreed to a short notice half day off so i emailed Internet sales dept back and advised to deliver bed on Thursday as agreed as my son could get a half day off work. I was then told my order had been put on hold and i have lost the option of delivery on Thursday and i would have to wait 5 weeks for delivery. Absolutely shocking customer service I would never of ordered from Bensons for Beds if i knew how they operated and the contempt they have for their customers.

Ordered a complete set of bedroom furniture, paid for it under their stock guarantee on their website. arranged delivery, One week before delivery they told me the chest of drawers was discontinued did I want to reselect, changed it to another set of drawers in the range, all agreed and order changed, 3 days before delivery told that these set of drawers were discontinued. Cancelled the order, what is the point of having mix and match bedroom suite when it should have been all there?! now I have to wait 30 days for a refund...cowboys.

Purchased a bed in Middlebrook Bolton Store and was NOT told it was self assembly even after spending £800 on a bed but they would send someone out at a cost of £60 to assemble it. The delivery came on time and they trampled mud all through the house and onto a brand new carpet laid less than 1 hour previous they then denied all knowledge of the fact and stated they will not do anything about it. I now whish I had ordered from a local store and will never visit Bensons for Beds again.

Would not recommend Bensons. We had a delivery 2 months ago; and booked their service team to erect it for the following day. Only for the service team to realise that the fixtures and fittings for our wardrobes had not been included in the packaging. So we had paid £300 to have them erected, and the service team left with the job incomplete. After a 3 week wait for the parts to be delivered, the service team returned, only to realise that the bottom parts of the drawers were also missing. So another visit, and yet another incomplete job. We have 3 weeks on finally had the delivery, but we are still waiting on the service team to return, and what are we offered in terms of compensation a mere £50! Definitely will not be using them again.

We bought a £1500.00 bed 5 months ago,it was mis sold to us and is now unfit for purpose we were told the hump in the middle of the bed is ok we should just sleep in the middle of it and not side by side. a technician said the bed was 2mm within Bensons guidelines of being ok,What rubbish we are pensioners and they have robbed us

Bought a bed frame from here. Good quality but the customer service overshadowed the product. In store, the sales assistant "sold" the idea of interest free finance to us. Which I do not regret. But it seems that he was not trained in how to implement it. He told us that they'd be in touch and arrange it after. Unbeknown to us, this was wrong . A week later my husband got a rude call from the store who told him he had to set up the finance now or we wouldn't get the bed on the agreed date. I then decided to call. I explained the situation and said that the person who spoke to my husband the day before was quite rude. Before I could say anymore, he asked for my receipt number. From there he told me he was the one who spoke to my husband. This is who the conversation went: Him: "I'm the one who spoke to your husband" Me: "Right, well you were quite rude to him-" "How was I rude?" "Well he said that you-" "I told him that you have to set up the finance or you won't get your bed." "Yes but we were told in store that you would call us afterwards." "No, you have to set up the finance in store" "Well, we won't told that. Someone in store said to do it after over the phone" "Why did he tell you that?" "Ha, I don't know. He's you staff!" "Well I don't know why he told you that." "Ok. Well I don't really care why he told me. The fact that is he did and you were rude to my husband yesterday-" "I wasn't rude. I was telling him he has to set up the finance or you won't get the bed." "But we weren't told that." "Look, you have to set up the finance". "Can I speak to your manager?" "I am the manager" "Well how do I make a complaint?" "Why do you want to complain about" "You were rude to my husband you keep interupting me and won't let me speak!" "Go on speak. What do you want?!" "I want you to listen!" "Go on then, what do you want?" "Look, ok, when we came into store we were told we could do the finance over the phone-" "You can't do that!" "That's the 3rd time you've interupted me-" "Well what do you want?" "That's the 4th time you've interupted me-" "Well what do you want?" "That's the 5th time you've interupted me-" "Go on then. Go on then." "That's the 6th time you've interupted me. Are you going to listen?" No joke. That's how the conversation went. I complained to the head office who said "it'll be investigated". His tone of voice was sharp and rude. When we went into the store and set up the finance the assistant manager said "that's just his way. That's how he speaks". Bensons, sort out your staff!!!

Benson for beds are truly the worst company I've ever dealt with , ordered a bed that was too big so went in shop to change order , had to pay 200 pound for smaller bed and felt I was being robbed the staff were obnoxious aggressive and extremely unhelpful , then got wrong bed delivered 3 times , went to the ombudsman for help , what a joke , do not even bother using them , it makes it worse , I truly believe they won't last much longer , it is a joke of a company , any company that won't accept credit card payments is not to be trusted

Worst customer services department I have ever dealt with. They tell lies, back peddle on promises and are totally devoid of any customer care. Their 40 day sleep guarantee is just a licence for them to make more money out of loyal customers!

We ordered a bed that cost over £700 waited 3 weeks for delivery when it came it was damaged, so driver took pictures and said ring customer service and they would arrange a replacement for us. Rang them they said we had another 3 weeks wait for a replacement or they could offer us £40 in vouchers if we kept damage one, i said no I would like a new one, so waited another 3 weeks for it to be delivered booked a day off work for 19th June 2017 for the New replacement to be damaged again. This is totally unacceptable not like it was a £100 bed it was £719.99, I thought a big company such as bensons would have excellent rating which is why me and my partner gave you our service. Will be definitely be thinking twice now from shopping with you which is a shame as we was going to come and order a headboard very soon.
