If you've read the bad reviews about customer service and think that you can manage without having to contact them, DON'T. My order has not arrived and it's been over a month even though their site states that it would arrive before 25 days. Have sent three seperate emails from two different accounts with no response except for an automated email linking me to their FAQ section. This site is literally no better than a scam, if you're trying to save money it's better to just spend a few extra dollars and actually receive the product.

I ordered about 30 different books and that was probably about a few weeks ago and since then I keep asking the company for tracking numbers. I must have asked about five different times at least for tracking numbers and the best that I got was a no reply email saying that they've been dispatched and that's the best that I could get when I insisted to get tracking numbers because a lot of them I didn't notice showed up at where it was supposed to go. Nobody EVER replies back to any questions I've asked about the books I've ordered. VERY bad customer service.

Awful - cancelled entire outstanding order because payment had failed. Yet it was THEIR FAULT as they have a problem with their payment processor accepting Amex (which was not a problem with the first half of the order dispatched yesterday. Why cancel the entire order? They don't take phone calls, they don't have an email address, the cancellation email does not list the items they have cancelled, the email is from a "no reply" address. What a terrible shop, trading on a "quality bookseller" name but they are worse than the worst online store. Clearly poorly resourced and badly run.

Blackwell's- avoid at all cost! They ignore emails. Do not have goods in stock. 10 days later - no goods. A complete lack of customer service and should be black listed. DO NOT order books for Christmas delivery unless you want to be disappointed. Incidentally, number to call is 01865333536 found through my Paypal transaction.

Ordered two books 01/05/21 - they claimed a "slight delay" due to Covid. It is now 06/12/21, over half a year later, and still nothing but they still took my money. Website is opaque, and constantly tries to dissuade you from complaining or requesting a refund. Not the first time, as once they let me order something they didn't have, and didn't notify me until a full month after. Would rate 0 stars if I could.

Unacceptable delay, left customer in the dark without any communication on status for online orders… if no stock, then pls mention on the website upfront, don’t give empty promises or hope. Disgusted with their practice. Avoid this company like a plague.

When I received the unhygiene book, I found that there was food on the front book. I will refuse pay postage to return it to them because that is unacceptable. I’m not very happy with it. I’m so fed up to keep delaying to reply me without a real person and I also am very fed up that it keeps robot automatically to my email, I’m doing apply over again and again. That’s waste my time. I hate robot automatically, that’s not very fair to me. I’ve been contacted them for hours. I won’t buy any books this company again because the customer service is very terrible. I can’t contact them by phone. I’ve been very very very frustrated about this. That’s damaged to my health by my frustrations.

Ordered books in stock 3 weeks ago. Still have not received 2 of them although online account states dispatched. No email of dispatch from Blackwell's, no tracking. Dire lack of information. Have received one book today which was dispatched 3 days after the other 2 missing ones. Have received the order piecemeal, l will never use this company again and there is no way to resolve anything except by bots.

Appalling service. Quoted up to 15 days delivery. Took my money and received one email saying order received and processing. No delivery and no communication since. The website is always down and email is a no reply. Looks like I have been dudded.

Appalling service. I ordered a book on 21st Sept, confirmation came through on email, and then nothing. No order updates, no dispatch notice, no booked delivery slot, nothing. After a few days, reached out on email (no phone number provided) and had to wait for 3 days before a tame response apologising as they had tech issues. Waited again, still no update, emailed again on 30th, still no response. Clearly happy to take the money but not send the goods and unable to contact anyone to resolve. I've now got to try to cancel the order and get my money back. Like I say, absolutely appalling service. Recommend you DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

False advertising, the book I bought was explicitly stated as 1st Edition, January 1990 The book I received on the other hand was from at least 2 decades later, with references to ebooks and the death of the author in the opening pages.

Like so many of the other reviews my order never arrived, no way of contacting the business apart from by email which gets a reply saying case closed and solved. This business has no concern for either their customers or their businesses name. I seriously wonder how they are still in business. I hope for anyone reading this review they are doing so before buying from this company and not after making a purchase that never arrives. Shame there’s no option for 0 stars. I seriously suspect all the 5 star reviews like this company is a scam, Buyer beware,

Seriously don't know how these guys are still operating. They don't actually send the book for overseas deliveries and if you write to them to request an update or refund, they just close the case. Do yourself a favour and don't take the risk.

First time ordering through Blackwells and I'm still waiting for an order I placed and paid for 6 weeks ago. Can't track the order on the online tracker and they don't reply to emails and are hard to contact. Really disappointed. Reordering the book as it's a now very belated gift through Book Depository.

JUST ORDER FROM AMAZON !! Order of 1 book dispatched 9 days ago, still haven't received the delivery. Customer service is terrible and just push the blame to Hermes, my money was paid to Blackwells not Hermes, sort yourselves out, joke of a company.
