“I was a little frustrated when I didn't pass the first attempt. I contacted the assist.number because I couldnt get on the line to try again They told me I would receive an email. I did the first test on Sun night and didn't receive the email until Wed pm but waited until this morning to do the test. I answered all the questions and had lots of time to spare. There were different questions although some the same. So I am not sure a second attempt was a great advantage re the time factor. I wlould like to have xeen those I didn't get.”

“It took me 16 hours to complete (I did redo one module), plus 1 hour for the test. The videos were good quality and easy to follow. Try to match the time of the sections with the time of the video, they were often shorter or longer. Consider playing videos at 1.25 speed. I would recommend retaking quiz without having to redo module. There was some content repeat that could be removed. Once the time is done I would of preferred the next video automatically play (or at least the previous not automatically reatart).”

“Very good and detailed course. It is a bit longer than some of the other course sites out there. I matched this course to another course a friend took and the BOATsmart course was differently longer.”

“Thank you very much! I found the course very easy to follow along and quite easy to understand. The videos were clear and enjoyable. The only thing I wish you could have done was to let me know which questions, on your practice tests I got wrong so I knew here I was having difficulties and so I could go back and make sure I understand it better. I believe this could help us to improve our boating safety Thank you Karen Barnhart”

“A very well done course. The mandatory timing was a little bit frustrating at times, but I understand it's a government mandate to spend a certain amount of time on the course. Great visuals, and appropriately paced.”

“Pros: All infos are helpful . Cons: You cannot forward video and it will take 5-7 hours for 7 modules plus Final test. When you failed the test from each modules, you have to start again. It will help if you have the book before taking the course.”

“The French language materials did not have video like the English version. Also, some of the comments were in English rather than in French although I was signed up in French. The test portion ran smoothly.”

“Course was comprehensive and well put together. My only issue would be with the timer which allows you to move from one lesson to the next was preventing me from moving on at times. Information provided was relevant and on point.”
