“The online material is very good. The one issue I have is that I purchased the handbook (old school) and studied it for several nights, about 5 hours invested. Then I went online to take the test, and was surprised that I had to re-take all the material again, with no fast-forward option, another 5 hours invested. Had I known that I would be obliged to do the course online, I would have skipped the handbook altogether.”

“I was able to get my license in a single afternoon; however, I felt like there were a few questions on the final exam which were not covered in the modules.”

“I am more confident now while on the water with my pontoon. I wish I could know what questions I got wrong. Also, my wife would like to do the course with the same email??? I was fine with my score of 86 overall. Thanks.”

“I grew up around boats and in fact was even a commercial salmon fisherman but I must say I learned a great deal from taking this course and although I found it frustrating at times and extremely long upon reflection I'm very happy to have the opportunity to take the course and of course the testing is important because it emphasizes the need to understand and recall thank you very much–”

“It was very informative but took way too long. Questions could have been sped up a bit to shorten the time involved. Also - when I took quizzes and got questions wrong it needs to tell me what I got wrong - otherwise I may be doing things incorrectly thinking they're correct. This is a huge misstep in this process. Doesn't make any sense that they wouldn't let people know which answers were incorrect.”

Hi Daniel, Thanks for the feedback! We understand the timers can be frustrating for quick readers, but they are required by Transport Canada (or NASBLA) to ensure all students take the time to truly read and understand the information. Additionally, they also do not allow for the incorrect answers to be displayed. This is to protect the integrity of online testing and all course providers have the same requirements.

“It was too long, and the click next button was not synced to the video wasting time.It would be better to have a few long videos than hundreds of short ones.”
