“I'm very happy to have taking the test, show a lot Had been in the waters for 7 years boating and now I learned a lot of safety tips for know what to do in all situations I Will continue reviewing the chapters Thanks”

“BOATsmart sign up was very easy and user friendly , there was always an option to chat with someone if required. BOATsmart gave me many options for more information,help lines and coupon discounts. BOATsmart also sends encouragement for the test taker. 😀👍”

“You guys and gals made me extremely happy because I started my Boatsmart course 5yrs ago. And didn't complete it after 3 and a half hrs of study. Then I bought a boat and logged on and finished without having to pay another $50.00. Thank you!!”

“Took me about 4 hours to get through the course but it was very informative. I passed!🤗 I would definitely recommend BOATsmart! for anyone wanting to obtain a Pleasure Craft Operator's lisence. ...And I have.”

“I agree it is a necessary program. Perhaps there should be a more simple process for boats 20 feet and under...and a more complex test for larger boats? Utilizing a 2 step licencing program.”

“Great content, educational, easy to follow and prepared well for the final test. Content wise I felt a bit under prepared for specifics on Canadian maritime law ... what act is responsible for this, who responds to that that I felt were not covered, but other than that it was all good. So why not the 5 star rating? The timer on each slide ... so painful, typically read content in 10-20% the time on the timer that I needed to wait for in order to see the next lesson. A mechanism that you have to view each slide is reasonable, if you have to have a timer then make it a realistic time ... ever lesson was painful to sit and wait for that timer. I would recommend your service with a big disclaimer that if others providers do not have the timer then I'd go with them.”

“Good information, easy to view. Liked that I had the option to listen, watch a video or just read the text. Didn't like that I had to skip manually between each module, and sometimes it only took me 20 or 30 seconds to read the text, but I had to wait on the page for over a minute, which is a huge pain on my expensive cottage internet. Also, a search feature would be useful, as things like Flares and PFDs appear in multiple sections with almost the same information. The clipart is cheesy and often hilarious, but that's fine. Also, what's up with only asking how BOATsmart made me happy and not how it made me frustrated? That's not a reliable survey!”

“Material was detailed, but presentation was dry. Understand that quiz questions can't be published, but if a test is not 100% it would be beneficial to direct the user to what chapter of the module they could review. Would be great to have an optional review module - so if a user takes the course over a longer period of time that they can do an overview of the most important components of the course (could be an optional module that is only unlocked if all other modules are completed). Course was easy to navigate.”

“I liked it, because it got me my boating license, and the lessons were in a way that anyone could understand them. I just wish that the lessons weren't all 40 seconds long, because I spend more time reloading the page then I do watching the videos.”
