“Although I did retain some info, I really didn't like that you couldn't take the test again right away, if you failed... that you were forced to retake the entire module again. That functionality really irritated me and actually took away from my learning experience very distracting. I would definitely change that limited functionality.”

“Please adjust the time required for each slide to have it be directly proportional to the amount of information presented on each slide. A lot of the slides felt like they did not have enough info to fill out the time allotted to that individual slide making the process of getting through the content feel more laborious than it actually is.”

“Found all the information very helpful, but the acronyms used are a little confusing, Too many of them and they were stressed so it seems that they were something I really had to remember. Need to stress the safety and readiness more.”

“Overall, BOATsmart was great. However, I felt that many things were greatly repetitive, but I understand that. I also felt that the actual test had less than a quarter of the material I had learned. (It was also really long, but I understand why it has to be!!)”

“I WAS IN THE NAVY SO I KNOW THE RULES OF SAFE BOATING & NAVIGATION ,THIS WAS A GOOD REFRESHER COURSE AND I BELIVE A MUST FOR INEXPERIENCED BOATERS .”

“It was a good course. I enjoyed the video presentations. I did find that two or three of the questions on the final exam were not covered by the tutorials or in the guide book.”

“I appreciate how the course covers all tested material in as little time / lessons as possible. However, I would appreciate it if they offered supplemental optional content to help new boat operators. This could include lessons on how to navigate using a compass and map, how to moor your boat, etc. But overall I appreciate how quickly I completed the course with so much knowledge retained.”
