“Some of the questions at the end of the modules didn’t pertain to that module but another one which caused me to just guess at answers...”

“The videos make it easy to follow but reading the text makes it stick in your mind better. Having both allows me to use whichever method works for me at that moment. The videos and memory tricks are great. Thanks”

“Translates to the federal exam well but the fisheries terminologies varies a little from the content, overall great! I passed and all the information was there”

“You need to proofread, there were more than a couple typos. A few of the videos would also not play. A review after the quizzes of the questions I got wrong would be very helpful.”

“Thorough. Prepared me for the boaters exam appropriately. A little repetitive at times but understanding so. I found some modules were timed too long for the content provided on the pages. Could have saved a bit of time as there wasn’t much material to review on some pages but they were 2 + minutes long.”

Thanks for taking time to leave feedback Breana. We understand the test can take a while for some students, but the time requirements and quizzes are required by Transport Canada and NASBLA to ensure students of all reading levels are able to fully understand all content. The timed requirements are the same across all course providers, and we find many students prefer the convenience of completing the course from the comfort of home, rather than in a classroom setting. Thanks for sticking with it and safe boating!

“I have read many of the reviews and agree with those that discussed problems and corrections needed. I would disagree with anyone that thought it was good course. i found exam questions were worded tricky and vague at times. No need for that and the detailed involved in answers could have been reduced to "keep a waterproof manual handy for review of situation". I also found the index in the manual from Canadian Tire to be very lacking. The good part of the review so there is one star, is now I am not buying the boat I had ordered and will stay a land based person.. Will save me a lot of money for other pursuits here on Vancouver Island.”
