“Modules were easy to understand and related to the tests. Module information was repetitive between the 7 different modules but did help with remembrance. Final test was intimidating but reasonable in relation to the units.”

“Great course, we'll put together online system. I could read the lessons instead of watching the videos if I was using limited mobile data. No mention of what to do in the event of a sharknado though.”

Hi Chris - thanks for leaving a review! In case of a Sharknado, we recommend always wearing your life jacket or PFD. Enough said! :)

“It was a good and thorough prep. Module 2 was very long and I think it could be split into two sections. There were a lot of nitty gritty details that just couldn't be remembered while taking the test.”

“Great Videos. Easy to follow and Understand. Took about 5 hours to complete. Could not give it a 5/5, Some of the videos could have been put into one, as some were 15 seconds long. This means you have a lot of clicking and loading pages to do. If they were made into 2-5 minute videos this would allow for less clicking of the next button”

“was able to go at my own pace wish I'd been able to back and review the questions I had wrong. I learn best by having that ability. Reviewing entire module doesn't really help, if you don't know your weakness”

“Found the whole experience to be very informative and helpful. Live Visio of high traffic waterways with signage would've made things more realistic. Overall I feel confident enough to get started hands on.”

“The course prepared the candidate fairly well for the test. My issue is not with the course so much as the concept of the boaters license. I do not believe BOATsmart has control over this so won't comment here. One suggestion is that the course took me longer than 3 hours. May be my slow connection but find it hard to believe that volume of material adds up to 3 hours. Is that what the timed videos add up to?”

“Very educational,laws are clearly discussed I am from northern Ontario and only fish on smaller lakes but this course covers all aspects of safe boating,very educational all and all an awesome course.”

“As I completed the quizzes on each module, I would have appreciated learning which questions I got wrong and the right answers. Also, I am a fast reader, some lessons had way too much time to spend on them. Doing the course on line was certainly convenient.”
