“Great Videos. Easy to follow and Understand. Took about 5 hours to complete. Could not give it a 5/5, Some of the videos could have been put into one, as some were 15 seconds long. This means you have a lot of clicking and loading pages to do. If they were made into 2-5 minute videos this would allow for less clicking of the next button”

“Dont buy the book. The course just reads it to you word for word and tou cant skip anything. Takes way to long. Smart serve was a shorter course.”

“was able to go at my own pace wish I'd been able to back and review the questions I had wrong. I learn best by having that ability. Reviewing entire module doesn't really help, if you don't know your weakness”

“Found the whole experience to be very informative and helpful. Live Visio of high traffic waterways with signage would've made things more realistic. Overall I feel confident enough to get started hands on.”

“I would have liked to see which answers I got wrong on the quizzes and the final test. Now I'm not sure what I know, and what I don't know! I don't want to not be following the rules while on a boat!!!”

“Very good course, informative. You do have to pay close attention to the videos in order to score well. You can however repeat the sessions you fail to score a passing mark. Highly recommended.”

“Lots of information. A variety of ways to learn it. Too much time on most screens for me as I preferred not to watch the videos. Got my laundry done in the lag time!”

“The material was well covered but sometimes the timer on the videos isn't correct and in one case, I had to watch a video multiple times.”

“The course prepared the candidate fairly well for the test. My issue is not with the course so much as the concept of the boaters license. I do not believe BOATsmart has control over this so won't comment here. One suggestion is that the course took me longer than 3 hours. May be my slow connection but find it hard to believe that volume of material adds up to 3 hours. Is that what the timed videos add up to?”
