“I enjoyed the BOATsmart course. However, I would have liked to see which questions I got wrong on each quiz and get the correct answers. That way, I would learn even more and I could correct my misgivings.”

“I had absolutely no idea what I was doing when I started this program even though I paddled canoes and rowed boats when I was a kid more than 50 years ago. I thought maybe I'd like to do a little fishing, from a little motor boat, now maybe I can. Who knew. I liked the challenge and really glad I succeeded. Now lets see what the wife can do.”

“Course was well done. Longer than I thought but being able to leave it and return another day was great. Final exam had some tricky questions but some easy ones to balance. Able to pass it the first time anyway, but barely.”

Thanks for your review Megan! We understand the test can take awhile for some students, but the time requirements and quizzes are required by Transport Canada (or NASBLA) to ensure all students are able to fully understand all content. The timed requirements are the same across all course providers, and we find many students prefer the convenience of completing the course from the comfort of home, rather than in a classroom setting. Thanks for sticking with it, and safe boating!

“Modules were easy to understand and related to the tests. Module information was repetitive between the 7 different modules but did help with remembrance. Final test was intimidating but reasonable in relation to the units.”

“I have been wanting to get my certificate for operation of personal watercraft for sometime. BOATsmart made it so easy with the training. Even though it took me two days to study I wrote the test under ten minutes and passed. I highly recommend you to train with them”

“Great course, we'll put together online system. I could read the lessons instead of watching the videos if I was using limited mobile data. No mention of what to do in the event of a sharknado though.”

“It was a good and thorough prep. Module 2 was very long and I think it could be split into two sections. There were a lot of nitty gritty details that just couldn't be remembered while taking the test.”
