“I really loved everything about your online course, it's super informative and very visual. There is ONE thing that really annoyed me. If someone reads the physical Boat Smart book and buys the test, they have sit for 8-9 hours re-reading everything they just read, in order to take the test. It's frustrating to spend a few days learning the material and then have to sit down and spend another day watching the movies with identical content. You should be able to buy JUST the test, or at least have a warning in the physical book that you're required to take the online course, regardless of whether you read the book or not. I would have bought my license a long time ago, but I bought the book first, studied for a few days, bought the test and found out that I have sit for a whole day to get through the content. It really put me off of taking the test and didn't attempt the course again until a year later. I would suggest an option to just take the test, otherwise, don't offer a physical book.”

“The modules are very thorough. As I do lake boating only, I found the information very overwhelming. Would it make any sense to have an exam for lake only? I found the timer throughout the modules a bit annoying. I think we can do without. Thank you”

“Very good platform with a nice learning videos and good learning flow. Only disadvantage i found was that at the end of each module where there is exam, it tells you the score of the test (i.e. 80%) but it does not show you the questions you answered wrong. Other then that, i recommend it!”

“Although I would have liked slightly less clicking and loading (option of playing continously would be good) I found it a good way to do the study. The section tests helped a lot. Well worth it.”

“Good course over all 1. If you miss pass percent, starting over not good, should be able to go through faster second time. 2. I suggest summary charts at the beginning and ending of each section”

“too many short videos and doesn't really keep your attention makes it hard to retain the information learned but does cover most important laws and regulations and gets you your boat license”

“It was very time consuming but overall I went from really not understanding how to navigate the waters ways to understanding the procedures and laws that go with it. Despite it being time consuming the information you gain is very beneficial.”

“You should make it very clear to those people that purchase a handbook that they will be required to read the material a second time before they will be allowed to take the test. I spent a lot of wasted time studying and highlighting only to find out I had to do it all over again.”

“I like the website. Good layout. Good end user experience.. I'm not a fan of the law which requires canadians to ask permission before using their own property. I know its for safety... But I'm more a libertarian. I don't think safety should be legislated. Good website though. It works very well, and I appreciated not having to go into a government office. My card arrived pretty quickly too, which was also nice.”

“I thought having to rewatch the moduals was HORRIBLE, getting 2 questions incorrect should not make you rewatch 1hour of videos, it should be optional”
