On line course is nice, but I found it a lot easier to have the booklet as well. I didn't have it for the first while. I would recommend having the book as well.

Very good way to learn the basics. Learned a lot of good safety and enjoyed a trouble free summer on the water!

I studied for the exam through the book and so when I wen to purchase the exam online, I was frustrated to see that I had to go through all practice exams in order to do the test. Hence, starting over completely. For those who like studying differently, or don't know about the practice exams, it was time wasted. My recommendation would be to have an opt-out option so you can skip right to the final exam.

The course was well constructed and informative, but the timed sessions were aggravating - no need to enforce me reading something in a set time when I was ready to pass the section and test.

It is an great way to get your boating license from home without having to go too marinas and the such. Like how it makes you spend time on each page to prevent skipping through and cheating.

I found your operating system took way too long - it would freeze thru the module and what should've taken me but a couple of nights to do the 5 chapters, took me all week. But at least I've got my card.

Only issue was with the videos. You should have the option just to read the material (where i could read the material far quicker than watching most of the videos) instead of having to watch each video.

nice pace over several weeks with summary at the end only regrets is you cannot go back and check your mistakes

I liked that I could work on it when I had time. Some test questions were really tricky though so I almost didn't make the time limit because I had to keep going through the book. Also you updated the book since we bought ours so some of the wording was different and made it really hard.

The modules were done in an easy to understand format with lots or repetition making it easier to retain the information. I did however find the course to be a bit long.

I think it is generally a good course. I would however take out some of the questions that refer to policy i.e. what law does this rule come from etc. You will never remember this and it is not important as far as I can see. One other comment. I'm on a popular lake in Ontario and there are some boat drivers who are really dangerous still. Seem that they don't drive defensively and put themselves ( and others ) in danger i.e. going fast btwn islands close to the island shoreline so they are not able to see if others are coming from the other side of the island. ++ dangerous. Thanks
