“Overall good. One suggestion would be to once you have completed a module, the questions you get wrong, you should be able to see them. So you know where you went wrong.”

“Ok, so we just paid for two courses over the weekend and I did my course and test. My husband still has to do both. New e-mail today....$15.00 off for each new course....not happy. Other than that, the content was good. That extra money would have paid for the course text that we would like to have, to keep on hand.”

“Conveniently available online for full duration of course. Did not need to bother someone to be a witness or wait to write exam. Unfortunately, not clear that failing a quiz meant re-doing the module with time limits. Did not find mandatory time spent on modules added value or helped with my learning. Would have liked to proceed at my own pace.”

“The website is great. The lessons are well explained and the classification into modules makes it easier to approach the test. That's the good part. For the bad part : as many other customers have said about BOATsmart, a LOT of questions asked during the Transport Canada test are not covered in the BOATsmart lessons. Which kind of defeat the purpose of selecting your website. If more and more people keep complaining about the lessons not corresponding to the questions being asked, BOATsmart is going to lose business.”

“I've been around the water and boating for many years, and thought this course would be intensely boring. However, I found it actually useful. Especially as I could see how it would be a good presentation of learning really important info for my kids and grandkids. This course helps fill in the gaps of safe boating knowledge, making boating safer and more fun for all of us !”

“I took the BOATsmart course and test this summer, 2017. It's been many years since I operated a boat, and getting back into it again through BOATsmart was great. Water safety comes first and no one knows it all. The course is well organized and comprehensive. The quizes and the on line resources are easy to use. I bought the manual as well and studied while I was on vacation. It makes a good reference afterwards. The test was straight forward and fairly easy after completing the modules and studying a bit. I scored 96%. I'm looking forward to getting out on the water!”

“It was intense at times but the combination of videos, text and quizzes did help with the final test. It would have been nice if the videos automatically switched instead of repeating when finished.”

“I learned a great deal. My request is that the program provides feedback on the quiz and exam to tell you what questions you got wrong and what the correct answer is. This is should be part of the education program.”

“I really enjoyed the course. I found it very thorough and well put together. My only disappointment was that I could not see my mistakes, both in the quiz and exam. Having worked with students for over 20 years I do know that we learn from our mistakes. If we don't know where they are, it's difficult to correct them. Thanks you and 'safe boating'!”

“Boat smart is just great for any boater, I'm now very confident to be on the water. and to entertain my friends while being safe and just knowing what to do in any situation that may arise. I highly recommend this course for beginners to the guy that thinks he knows it all I'm a seasoned fisherman been on the water for many years now and this course is better than what I expected this course is a must have for any boater.”
