Some Lessons in the Modules are a little long. Otherwise the material is good and covers what you need to know quite well to be Boatsmart.

The lessons were super easy to follow along with! The videos and being able to see, hear, and read the information made it super easy to remember by the time I was ready to take the test!

Overall the course was good, and definitely covered the material needed, as well as additional material which was not expected. The only issue that would make it better, would being able to see what questions were correct or incorrect on the quizzes after each modular.

Boat smart was super boring I think it would be alot better if you were to make it real Instead of cartoons an actual live boater and boating would at least make a person want to watch it, other than that it was ok.

The on line course material is far too long. I read the entire study guide, spent weeks on it, learning the material and then unexpectedly had to sit through 4 hours of modules before I could write the test. Very unfair and deceitful. The study guide should make it very clear that a 3 - 4 hour course is required on line before the test can be taken. The study guide cost me money and for what?

Boatsmart made me happy by making me learn lots of things, and it made me proud to say that I had my boaters licence. But I also had an issue with the fact that if you failed a module you had to watch EVERY video again! For example: I failed module two (with 52 videos), and had to watch every video again because I got one question under the limit to pass. Also, they don't tell you what you got wrong so you can really focus on the videos that you need to for next time. But overall, worth the time, lots of information learned, and glad I can now boat with confidence. -Jack Turner (Age 10)

It was very thorough. Sometimes too thorough. You can't skip ahead through lessons so it was painful and boring to endure.

Boat smart made the course easy. Would give 5 stars except I speed read and FORCING you to take a certain amount of time per section is silly. I could have finished the course in half the time. I found that frustrating.

Nicely laid out course..I found it easier to follow along by purchasing the BOATsmart study guide for writing the tests and the exam. It would have been nice to see the right answers to the questions I got wrong... 2 thumbs up!

Very easy to understand, specially with the videos, the only thing I would have liked is to know which ones i did wrong,i passed with 88% but there's no way of knowing the wrong ones,If so much enfasis is on security,i think it would be nice to know the ones we(i) answered wrong. It's just a suggestion Besides that very instructive, thanks for the help

I passed. I also learned a lot of things I didn't know about boating safely

Very confused at times. And so many of my friends said the same thing. When you have to do a course over it would be nice to know what ones were wrong or right. When you rewrite it really screws things up. Yes i passed. So that is what i think.

Very informative and fun to do. Liked the setup with reading and/or listening. Great for the whole family.

Very informative, HOWEVER, there were a number of questions that were not covered in the tutorials and the test appeared to have an emphasis on general knowledge ?

Great course - very informative however do feel it needs to be more curtailed to different types of water crafts.

Upside was, by the time the final exam came I was definitely ready to take it. Downside was, it took a lot longer than it needed to. Making you wait before you could go to the next page was frustrating.

Glad to have my license, and the boat smart training is good to have. One complaint though, going through the units, the time limit on many pages is way too long. I understand that it's made for the lowest common denominator of people, but some pages take 10 seconds to read, but have a countdown of a minute. It took me 6 hours+ to take the course, had the default read times been shorter, it would have taken half the time I'm sure. Thanks

It was convenient to do the test at home. However, some of the multiple choice questions were worded in such a way as to trick you. When 2 of the 4 answers are almost identical it tests your knowledge of English not boating
