“Good course. It can take a longer than 3 hours though to do the online course. The course is made up of 7 modules with a 10 question quiz after each module. You cannot skip ahead if you are a faster reader than the narrator speaks. You have to click "Next" after each little video. Also, if you fail a quiz after a module, you have to repeat the whole module before you can move onto the next one. There are several modules that are 30 -45 minutes in length. That adds up and before you know it, the course can take you 4 or more hours. Make notes as you go along so you can refer back to them when taking the quiz”

“Structure of the class was very good. It was easy to follow along and understand all the lessons. The price of the course was fair. I would recommend this boaters safety course.”

“The way the modules are set up price to be repetitive and difficult in the sense that the time till you can click to the next chapter in many cases made it so I had to Re watch 10-30 seconds of the video slide before I could click over to my next approved module. I found this very frustrating. I run on a high functioning computer so I know it was not due to poor internet or loading quality. I also tested on a different internet connection and in another case a different computer all proved to do the same. I would recommend fixing this glitch because otherwise the course was informative.”

“Overall the course was good, and definitely covered the material needed, as well as additional material which was not expected. The only issue that would make it better, would being able to see what questions were correct or incorrect on the quizzes after each modular.”

“Boat smart was super boring I think it would be alot better if you were to make it real Instead of cartoons an actual live boater and boating would at least make a person want to watch it, other than that it was ok.”

“The on line course material is far too long. I read the entire study guide, spent weeks on it, learning the material and then unexpectedly had to sit through 4 hours of modules before I could write the test. Very unfair and deceitful. The study guide should make it very clear that a 3 - 4 hour course is required on line before the test can be taken. The study guide cost me money and for what?”
