Excellent Program! The video courses didn't always come up right away. Sometimes the video played but there was no audio. It was easy enough to re-watch a section, but for the most part, the narrator was reading words already on the screen. We were able to just follow along in most cases. The narrator seemed very slow at times, and we often found ourselves wishing they were speaking a little faster, and in a more normal tone. The information was fantastic, and laid out perfectly. There are a lot of different sections, but we were glad for that. Make is much easier to take breaks.

I felt it took a bit too long to go through the modules, but also like the way you're forced to watch every module. Our company operates small craft in the Polar Regions and would be very interested in talking with somebody who could customize a module or two to fit out operational environment. course was very helpful and easy to understand, gave good understanding of waters and rules and regulations . Only one suggestion would be maybe a little more info and testing in boat awareness of parking manuvers, bilge pumps random trouble shooting that some boaters would experience. Thanks boatsmart, I can now enjoy time on the water!

I found Boat smart to be very informative and helpful when doing the final exam. The only thing I didn`t like about it was that if you didn`t get 80% in the module part you had to watch the video`s again which is to time consuming. Overall it is nice to be able to get your boat smart boating card online. Thank you....

Whenever someone does a test, they need to know where they made a mistake so they can correct them. Those who don't know will go out on their boat and make the same mistakes they made out on the water. That is not safe!! They need to know where they made a mistake. How can we improve if we don't know what the mistake was?

You should try to make the links within the module all in one so you watch 7 long videos. Other then that it was great

The course is clear , well thought out and easy to follow I hadn't realized that there was quite so much to learn . But with the combination of the on line course and the paper book I was able to gain a solid knowledge of the subject and passed with 100%.

Good structure to the lessons. Lots of time for reviewing the materials needed to pass the exam. Overall very good and you can go at your own pace.

Generally ok but much too much theoretical stuff. i.e. where can you find this ir that rule. Much mire important are the practical things on the water

As a 65 yr old I was a little concerned I would have difficulty handling the module testing process. Once started I found it to be very informative, easy to follow and at a comfortable pace. The module pre-test really helped me in the final exam process. I found the exam very straight forward and I had plenty of time to complete. If a "old timer" can do it all you young boaters can!! I really enjoyed taking the course and learned a lot about boating that I either forgot over the years or was not aware of. Enjoyed it being available 24/7 (well suited for all ages). Your open chat line came in very helpful and we're very curtious. Well put together BOATsmart!! Have to excuse me I have a fishing appointment!! Thanks

i found the course to be well presented and very appropriate. the one "negative" comment i have has nothing to do with the course as such but rather to do with the rules governing lateral system navigation or more precisely the system of colours of buoys and their placement in channels. It can be somewhat confusing to learn that one must turn to starboard when encountering another vessel in a head on approach (keeping his red light to the port side)....and then having to rethink and turn left or to port when encountering a red buoy in a channel keeping the starboard side to the red buoy....i think that someone should of thought of that in the beginning when establishing the rules....of course this is only my opinion but as the late great Chet Atkins once said "its only my opinion....and it ought to be yours".
