Nice course. One thing. After the quiz and if you don't get 100 it would be great to go back and see what I got wrong so we can correct it in our mind. Knowledge can save lives

The course takes a very long time to complete.

The modules are very good. When it came time to do the quizzes and final exam I was disappointed. Would have liked to have know which questions I got wrong - found that very frustrating. I little review of those questions that were incorrect would have been very helpful.

Overall this course was good. The one thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that I was charged for the course and my boater card and I still have to pay a state charge. My personal thought to fix this is add a disclaimer and an option to pay for it through the BOATsmart site.

The course was as expected. Some of thetestquestions were so close they required guesses. The reason to take courses like this is to gain knowledge and confidence, some of the answers did neither. Overall a good course but should be geared towards maximum confidence building instead of toward non-confidence.

Without knowing which questions you got wrong on the quiz you had no idea what you should review before taking the actual boating test. I found this incredibly frustrating as I wanted to do as well as possible.

The course was very informational. I learned a lot but the reason I did not give it a 5 star is because it is super dry. As well as I had problems with some of the videos and voiceovers not working together or the time remaining on the slide to be longer than the video.

Easy to follow and well laid out chapters. Tons of information - likely more than needed for most pleasure craft operators but then again so many different situations, boat types, water bodies, etc. Be good if a link to a printable guide like the Canadian Aids to Navigation System made available or better yet get complimentary copy or 2 (waterproof) when license comes. Something that could be easily carried on pleasure craft and then referenced as needed. Would improve knowledge retention, promote discussion at times and improve safety,

Very thorough and detailed. Would like to have known incorrect answers to better understand.

My only feedback is that during the module tests, if you get something wrong, you should know what it was. Otherwise, you can’t correct your erroneous belief. And whatever it was you didn’t know, you still don’t know!

Need change the rule when I pass one unit I can return and read but not need to take the exam again. The course is good enough, but need more study case for practice. Thanks Boatsmart

It is much too long and could be summarized. As well as the timer is not necessary before going to the next page.

Very thorough - a little long - but I feel much more informed and aware now! Perhaps it mentions how long the course may take (I may have missed it) but maybe mentioning that it may take a few+ hours would be helpful ! (as I tried to do this on my lunch hour at work / it took many lunch hours ! LOL) My husband had told me I'd get it done in an hour - he apparently took his course many years ago! Also, not sure if anything available but I would love to have this information in print form to have on the boat to refer to now and then...I also asked many people what they remember from their boat exam and very few remember many details ..a quick reference sheet or something would be helpful....not sure if one is available or if I should just make my own All in all - good thorough course !

The only reason that i could not give this course a full rating is that I believe quite a few of the questions irrelevant to safe boating. The content I am speaking of is question like 'Who made the law about such and such, etc.'. I personally believe who decided the rules is irrelevant. Who enforces, I believe is important (who you will be crossing should you not follow laws and rules). Mostly though i would like to see less of who decided the legalities of everything and focus more intently and correctly identifying real-world markers, speed zones, buoys, and so on. The kind of stuff that will actually save lives out on the water. Just my two cents, thanks for the course and license though!!
