“All you need to be well prepared. Little downside is that it takes a lot of time, more than 2 failed questions per module means the entire module all over again. It is best done all at once with the test right after. Plan for 4-5hrs and get rid of it!”

“The course itself is excellent. But the time limit is just plain stupidity. There is no reason for the time limit. I got very frustrated and it ended up taking me longer to do then it should have because I kept coming back and doing only small amounts at a time because I couldn't sit and wait forever for the stupid time.”

“I would like to see when doing the modules, that the timer is not there because many times I had to wait for the timer to expire before I could move onto the next slide of the module. A bit annoying because I can read faster than the timer. I would suggest to get rid of the timer on the slides in the modules.”

“Word of caution - don’t buy the accompanying book. Otherwise, you sit through the modules that you’ve already read and literally have the same information given to you. If I could return the book, I would. The course on its own was great, frustrating that you can’t just go to the test if you’ve already read the book.”

“Nice course. One thing. After the quiz and if you don't get 100 it would be great to go back and see what I got wrong so we can correct it in our mind. Knowledge can save lives”

“The modules are very good. When it came time to do the quizzes and final exam I was disappointed. Would have liked to have know which questions I got wrong - found that very frustrating. I little review of those questions that were incorrect would have been very helpful.”

“Overall this course was good. The one thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the fact that I was charged for the course and my boater card and I still have to pay a state charge. My personal thought to fix this is add a disclaimer and an option to pay for it through the BOATsmart site.”

“The course was as expected. Some of thetestquestions were so close they required guesses. The reason to take courses like this is to gain knowledge and confidence, some of the answers did neither. Overall a good course but should be geared towards maximum confidence building instead of toward non-confidence.”

“Without knowing which questions you got wrong on the quiz you had no idea what you should review before taking the actual boating test. I found this incredibly frustrating as I wanted to do as well as possible.”

“The course was very informational. I learned a lot but the reason I did not give it a 5 star is because it is super dry. As well as I had problems with some of the videos and voiceovers not working together or the time remaining on the slide to be longer than the video.”
