“Content was good. More emphasis on everyday experiences ie buoy regulations. Less emphasis on Where or what govt organization the regulations come from. There is a lot of testing throughout. Wasn’t expecting another test at the end. This course was more difficult than I thought it was going to be.”

“Very good layout and program, BUT, when watching the videos on most I could never advance in the course without re watching again and again, and sometimes re logging in. I believe it works with Chrome well, but standard Google not, you should tell people, its a great site, but I lost over 40 mins probably messing around with the videos, sort that issue and it would be a great product.”

“The greatest ignorance is not knowing what you don’t know, and this seems to be the theme with this course. There were two Modules where I didn’t score 100%, and I didn’t score 100% on the final test. I would have expected to have been given the chance to review my wrong answers, and see what I got wrong, but this wasn’t the case.”

“Once I got use to the interface app (3 different lesson start icons that show video or not and the 5-10 seconds left on the countdown clock before you can continue to the next lesson) the courses well well worth the money. Just remember this is a basic safety course - that touches on many topics and gives you an overall knowledge designed to peak your interest and keep you safe - not make you an expert.”

“POSITIVE: very thorough, covered specific state regulations, excellent dashboard info keep you abreast of where you are in the process and how much more to go. NEGATIVE: need to be able to review answers gotten incorrect on ALL quizzes & final test. recommend two courses: one for ocean boaters, one for inland water boaters - this would speed the process and make it more relevant. your two morse code slide contradict each other > SOS = ... --- ... , not --- ... --- there are no questions on state regulations during module quizzes yet many on the final exam. an upfront note about this would help one focus on state specific details come test and real life time. OVERALL: great product, never realized there was so much detail and nuances. i am sure there is room for a more advanced program.”

“There isca few things i feel need attention. When the man is reading the book he changes the words and does read it how the book is. The one quedtion is wrong its about the yellow buoy with the anchor. The book shows an anchor but the options for your answers says a black cross its not even an options with an anchor.”

“At first I thought having to write a test to drive a boat was rudiculous. After studying and writting the test......I found I learned many things that I had no idea about! I'm now very glad I did it!”

“Quizz results should include which questions you got wrong and what are the right answers, so that you can learn from your mistakes. I don't think it says anywhere that if you fail a quiz that you have to totally repeat that unit. 57 lessons in a unit is way too many, you need more units and less time between quizzzes. Your final exam guestions were not linked to the important concepts and a few seemed totally separate from this course. Muffler question???”
