“Course was fine but customer service is awful! I called 4 times and emailed twice and still have not received a reply. Cannot access the government final exam so I can’t even take the exam and get my license! Awful!!”

“The course is easy if you take the time to read it all the way through. Perhaps a shorter time per page before being able to move on would be helpful. I often could read through the page in about half of the allowed time but had to wait for the countdown timer before I could continue.”

“The coarse was easy to follow and informative. My son & I took it together & we both passed. We did have a great deal of trouble with technical support, when calling their 1-800 number, they don't return calls. Logging into the online portions was sometimes challenging and made worse by their lack of online or phone support. BTW, my son has his temp. PCOC card... it expires next week and we are still waiting for his permanent card... did I mention that The Collective will NOT answer the phone or return calls?”

“absolutely terrible do not use this website for your boaters test. completed it years ago and now i cannot purchase a replacement because they use their website and made it unable for me to see my previous courses. ive tried to call them, email, live chat, none of them will respond, what a waste of my time honestly. im not someone to make bad reviews but this is frustrating . don’t believe me? try and get ahold of them yourself before purchasing through their company. give them a call, you will be on hold until they close, give them a email they will not respond.”

“The course was good but the modules/quizzes would be better if you knew what which question you got wrong. But my real beef with the program is that you may not receive your card in the mail as promised. Trying to have this issued addressed has been a nightmare and I am not I'll ever get my card.”

“The course did not show you any of the mistakes made. Each module has a quiz and if you got an answer incorrect you would not know what question it was. The course has significant detail in the material being presented but has grammatical and spelling errors. A lot of material covered and a lot of details in the presentation missed.”

“The course provided about 90% information on the final quiz. It was very enjoyable to learn though BOATsmart! but some of the questions on the final quiz weren’t in the course OR there were almost no information on them. Overall: 9/10 very enjoyable, entertaining and easy enough for kids below the age of 18”

“Hello! So it went very well! The only thing that I found perplexing is that I don’t know what my mistakes were. It makes it very difficult to educate yourself when you don’t know where you went wrong. Besides that, I would highly recommend your website to anyone wanting to get their boating license. “The site is well made, the course as well. The narration is clear and the animations quaint and useful. I found myself learning quite a lot about boating and buoy markers, procedures and emergency tips. My main concern is that every module requires a quizz at the end, and the questions themselves seem to be designed for failure. Too many of them focus on mundane details instead of the more interesting components (which are not lacking!) I passed, but found there was a missed opportunity in the question design. Enough that instead of a five star rating, I give it a three (and a half) stars Otherwise I think there's quite a bit of potential here.”
