“Had a lot of information and easy to follow along based on the narrator. The time it takes to load each video is very time consuming and would be better if it just went through each slide automatically. That would probably cut the time down in half”

“My girlfriend and myself are both 64....and just got a new boat to fish Ontario. We were committed to getting our boat license. BOATsmart made it easy and we both enjoyed going through the study material. The course plan was well laid out with good graphics making it comprehensive and understandable. “I loved the fact that you can listen to each lesson as you read along. I felt this was a major factor in my success in passing the exam. The videos are also a great tool to help us understand each scenario. Thanks for making some dry content enjoyable.”

“It is a good, basic course that's user friendly/allows for different learner styles/abilities. I am unsure of the benefit of requiring a time to complete each lesson as some readers are able to read the materials faster than the oral presentation and move forward (my case). Also, it would be beneficial to be able to review the lessons prior to the final test, but I couldn't find a way to do this. Fact sheets/pgs would be helpful in this case.”

“Very informative, mostly common sense, the only thing that didn't make sense to me was on some of the module quizzes questions were asked that weren't explained until a later module.”

“Great way to get the test done, but the times of each window within a module are ridiculously too long, took me between 6-8 hours to get through the entire test when i knew most of the answers already (i was just looking for a way to get multiple licenses cheaper than $50 a piece) BOATsmart is the way to go for your licensing needs, especially if you want multiple licenses for you and your friends, but i was annoyed with how long it took.”

“They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. ;) The course material is very easy to follow and the quizzes do a great job at preparing you for the final exam. One thing that surprised me was that I had read quite a bit of "free" course material online and was prepared to write the test, only to have to go through all the course material again.”

“Great course - I was totally over prepared for the test, but the knowledge will be very useful. I didn't like the slide timers - in most cases it was fine, but it would be nice to have the option to advance any time. I only noticed one error on the slide that shows all the info signs - the top sign says 10 kWh instead of 10 km/h.”
