Lots of very good relevant information. I actually enjoyed all the reading.

it would be nice to find out in the practice quiz what questions you answered wrong so you could note your mistake and review material that you forgot.

Because the modules do not tell you the exact question that you got wrong, and the correct answer, how are you to know which question you got wrong AND SHOULD REVIEW? THIS IS A FLAW TO THE LEARNING AND RETAINING OF ALL THE INFORMATION. It is important to know where you went wrong so that you can correct it. All in all, the information provided and the video's were very well done and easy to follow. Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review Shirley. Since the test is open book and unsupervised, Transport Canada mandates that we aren't able to identify which questions were answered incorrectly. This is to protect the integrity of online testing.

I liked the website but I found annoying that every time you fails a mini quiz in the modules you had to re watch all the vids it would be better if they would only make you re watch the ones you don't understand

In the tutorial on storing a boat, it should be indicated that stabilizer should be added to the gasoline. Regarding towing, the instruction was that the boat should be "balanced". Actually, the rule is that about 10% of the weight of the loaded boat trailer should be on the hitch. I verified this by experience in towing a 16' fibreglas boat with a 70 hp. motor attached, which swayed when there was little or no weight on the hitch. It towed steadily when there was more weight on the hitch; really there was a world of difference. The change was easily accomplished by moving some of the load forward.

It is a very good course covering all the basics but the thing i didn't like about it was that i couldn't see what it was about before i paid for it. Would of liked to see what it was all about before i pay. Also it was a very long course.

I don't like that you have to redo the module if you get 70 percent.

There are some technical anomalies in the course, e.g. sometimes the video or audio does not work for a lesson; the "next" button is early or late (go thru lesson twice before it is available). Sometimes the pictures do not match the content e.g. wearing sun glasses and hats is strongly recommended but the people never have either on! There was a question on the final exam that is not covered in the book or course: What vessel has two mast lights, one red, one white? I figured it to be a boat with a tow but cannot verify that anywhere. One module is very long (#2) and I would recommend splitting it in two since if you fail the test you have to do the entire module over. It would be very helpful to get feedback on each test, it's the best way to learn, from our mistakes!

I definitely gleaned new valuable information in each module. I believe that everyone who lives near 'boatable' waters should take this course since at some point most people will have the opportunity to be aboard some type of vessel . However I was frustrated with the advertising band across the bottom inch or two that I had to 'x out' or finally just live with on each screen. I had to hit the enlarge icon at the end of each module to allow me to get to the 'next module' button. Hence the module lessons did not simply flow one after the other..... rather frustrating and time-wasting. Otherwise this was a positive experience.

It's a good site but, the modules are too long and it takes up too much time. Although, very useful for the future.

I found the course VERY involved. Some of the modules were too long and should have been broken up into smaller ones. I did learn a lot and am glad I took the course

Found that in the final test, there were questions that were never asked in the modular, and very difficult to in wording

Each lesson in the modules had too long a timer and I could have completed it a lot faster .
