Easy learning, helpful videos but it does take time. Well worth it.

It would be great if you would consider pointing out which specific questions were wrong when you send out the score. That would be a helpful learning tool. Also, would it be possible to add a feature where a person could just try writing the final test without having to go through the entire course? In my case, I poured over the Boatsmart book thinking I could then just write the final test. Perhaps, offer if someone wants to try it and gets more than 94% you could accept that.

It was a course that was presented well and easy to follow and understand. At times it was difficult to concentrate and focus on the information, but if stopped and taking a break, was not a problem to jump back into. Well done

There are some spelling errors within the text of the course. These can be disconcerting while doing the the review questions. This course represents the Government of Canada. It seems shoddy and creates a lacklustre image of the course and the country.

It took me 6 hours to go through the modules and complete the test. There was a lot of information. It would be good to let people know how long it will take them to complete the course.

Not a computer person. Hard to read and retain info wish I had a book to read first

I think everyone that has paid should get a manual to have with their pleasure craft. I think it is more important to have reference material than a piece of paper saying you passed a test. Also, on my final test, question #37 there is no possible right answer.

Great course! Easy to follow for any age! Just pay close attention because if you fail a section quiz you have to take that whole section over again.

A lot of pertinent information which is helpful but also a lot there that wasn't. I will use what I've learned and I will be a more responsible pleasure craft operator.

I was surprised at how long it took to complete each module, however I am happy that I used Boatsmart as it gave me important information on how to operate on our waterways.

Found it to be very informative, however I have a few points that i would to address. Being a sailboat owner there were no right of way information for sailboat on sailboat. I feel it would be useful to know which ones you got wrong so you are aware and not make the mistake in real life. It was a little repetitive which made it a bit long. But over all very helpful.

I have a concern that one does not learn from the tests. Tests should be learning tools and there is no feedback to the errors. How am I to know which questions I need to learn more about ? Being a retired teacher, I found it frustrating to know that I will never know which questions I got wrong on each module test and the final test. I also thought that some of the questions were written to try to trick the person taking the test. That should never happen. The objective of any test should first and foremost be to learn. I would say that the module lessons were well done and use the senses well. Pictures were very good. All in all, I am delighted to have passed and now can operate my pontoon boat. Thanks.

The only thing I didn't like about the course was when doing the quizzes after each module I didn't know which questions I had gotten wrong. It would be helpful to provide that because someone like myself would have went back to that section to review before moving on.

Depending on who you are, this could be a mandatory certification for a career or it could just be something you wanted to add to the resume. This is a great opportunity to acquire a license for a skill you may need somewhere down the line. Also the exam is really easy

I did the study guide first which made doing the online course in prep for the exam much easier as they are basically the same. The quiz after each module was good, but it would be better if the quiz were in the same vein as the actual test questions. I found the test questions more convoluted vs the quiz questions. People might be better prepared to do the final test if the quiz questions were like the test questions (less straight forward).

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review Robin! We understand the course can take a while for some students, but the time requirements and quizzes are required by Transport Canada (or NASBLA) to ensure all students are able to fully understand all content. The timed requirements are the same across all course providers, and we find many students prefer the convenience of completing the course from the comfort of home, rather than in a classroom setting. Thanks for sticking with it, and safe boating!
