I think that the content of the course was presented in an interesting way. One thing that can be improved on would be allowing the student to review the quiz answers after completion. This way you could figure out which questions you got wrong and know what the correct answer is.

Hi Reuben - thanks for taking time to leave feedback. Since there are a finite number of test questions and the test is open book and unsupervised - Transport Canada and NASBLA regulate that the answers not be shown. This is one of the check and balances put into place to maintain the integrity of online testing. As boaters too, we understand the feedback and are working with regulators to try and improve the process within the confines of online testing. Thanks for sticking with it and safe boating!

Some slides's countdown clock was longer than the length of the videos. They should be synchronized so that the users don't have to wait around in idle after the video is finished.

I passed my exam first go, but there were a number of questions on the exam which I don't feel were in the course. There was also an incorrect question in the Module 1 quiz re: age requirements for driving. Overall, I did the course in a few hours and passed for I guess it's okay!

The course modules are very long - the videos are timed where if you read the material it’s faster. You can not skip after reading it. You have to wait. You should be able to proceed when you are done reading the module. A retest should not be re doing the whole timed module again. You should be able to skim thru the module to re familiarize the errors you might have made.

Well put together and informative. Too long and should be geared towards where boat is being used and type. I have a small aluminum boat in Northern Ontario.

As a canoeist and kayaker for decades who now wants to qualify to drive a PWC, I learned lots of good information that will stand me in good stead whatever water craft I am using. I'm grateful. That said, I found the course and quizzes frustrating for two principal reasons. Many of the videos did not work. That unnecessarily complicated the exercise. In addition, it would have been helpful to have been told what quiz questions I answered incorrectly and what the correct answers were to those questions. It would have added to my learning. While less significant of an issue, it seemed to me that given the increasingly high definition images we are used to seeing on our screens these days, the visual appeal of this course could be greatly enhanced. All of that said, thank you for providing this service. I'm truly grateful.

Content was good. More emphasis on everyday experiences ie buoy regulations. Less emphasis on Where or what govt organization the regulations come from. There is a lot of testing throughout. Wasn’t expecting another test at the end. This course was more difficult than I thought it was going to be.

Was fairly interactive, yet not responsive. Many lessons I had to replay 4 to 6 times before the system acknowledged that I had played the vides / audio lesson. Very frustrating!

Absolutely ridiculous to have to learn about 100 tonne boats and anything related to operating large boats on ocean waters. The test should be broken up into relevance ands area and what exactly the boat is being used for. Small pleasure craft on Ontario lakes vs large boats meant for long trips across the ocean. These modules are insanely long and boring and I’m just glad I don’t have to ever do this again

I think it would be nice if some of the sections were smaller. That way waiting for the timer wouldn't seem as frustrating. More content per page. And I don 't see the point in excluding where someone went wrong... how are they supposed to learn if not from their mistakes?

The length of the quiz and death of the question is outrageous I’m talking the test for the flatlands of Saskatchewan not to be captain of a ship

The information is great for someone with no knowledge of the water, I’m from Newfoundland and was raised as a fisherman, I have a great deal of knowledge already and I skippered a longliner as a young man. I had to go through the whole course when I felt there could of been some other way of doing this other than a exam which has always put to much pressure on me, otherwise it’s great.

Learned importante info for safe boating but the course was needlessly long with too many repetitions and the modules tests should include graphics and pictures vs description of buoys.
