Very detailed course that cover everything boaters need to know with one exception. Lip service is given to wildlife welfare and yet is needed as boaters are very reckless ploughing through duck families and trying to get close to loons and just being idiots. You can add more about that. Thanks

Although I've operated small leisure crafts for years, I learned a lot. Biggest problem is site won't let me run off my temporary certificate. Found that while working on the course, I would be asked to login again and it would take me back to an area I had just completed. Regards, Keith Bray Good value for money, well worth it!!

The only thing that would be beneficial is having what answers you got wrong available for viewing. It could be a valuable thing for a person to know. 😁

The online course format may work well for people with compatible learning styles. I found it extremely frustrating -- I am used to learning by reading and can read much faster than the fixed pace of the online video and audio presentations. I wish I would have looked harder for a self-paced, text-based course.

I found a lot of the information really good but there was way too much on buoys and fire extinguishers.....probably could stand to cull the modules.

The course content was good I learned a lot about major waterways that I will never use living in Alberta but interesting. The final exam was a bit much.

The only downfall. Why you pause a video, you get a big bar across part of the screen. If you are taking notes you cannot see the screen. Make the bottom bar smaller as it takes up too much of the screen. Other than that the course is great.

Hi, to be honest, the course takes a long time to complete, while the information is accurate and covers everything you need to know on the water, for someone who just wants to take a small boat with a 2hp motor and go fishing on a small lake, the info is too much. I don’t think you will capture everyone because of the length. It is too bad there can’t be two divisions, small lakes pontoon and jet ski sail boat specific and Great Lake/ocean. The one thing that I constantly see is when you meet another boat you pass as you do with a car, for some reason people think you pass opposite. I asked someone who done this, they had the Boatsmart course and said that’s what the book said. I explained and they confirmed later to me what I already knew. Thanks for your time.

I don't think modules should be time restrictive/constrained. If a person wants to read through more quickly, that should be an option.

Some sections were a bit long considering I’m not likely to boat on a sea or ocean - but overall it was ok.

Very clear and easy to understand. Felt there were too many videos to watch however. Perhaps it could be condensed while maintaining the depth of information necessary ?

As a former USCG 100 Ton Near Coastal Master, this was a good course for lake boating as I will be renting a house boat on Lake Powell is Sept. Only one small issue was the audio would drop off several times throughout the reviews.

Lots of information but if you live in the prairie provinces a lot of information would be irreverent.

The down-sides I experienced during this course are as follows: -You often have to wait at least 6 seconds after watching a video to continue to the next video (this may not sound bad, but it feels like FOREVER when you're actually waiting.) -Several of the lessons don't include video's, just audio. -I was CONSTANTLY logged out of my session, and had to rewatch 2-3 minute videos. -There was a particular video that had sound issues, and it sounded like two videos were playing at the same time.

Course was pretty straight forward. Some answers were different on exam, than were written in the book.

The only thing that you should change is you should give the students the correct answer when he/she gets an answer wrong. They would learn by getting the correct answer from you. If you don’t pass the module, You shouldn’t have to go through the whole module again and answer questions, again maybe you’re guessing at the answers and don’t know the correct answer.

Bon site avec les principales notions de base pour l’examen, Ă  souligner cependant le manque d’interactivitĂ© car j’ai du lire les 7 modules sur mon ipad la fonction audio non disponible apparemment, de plus certaines images ne s’agrandisse pas.
