Pros The content is very well presented both in pictures, video, text and audio. Cons There is no ability to skip over any of the lessons to go straight to the exam. I purchased and studied the hard copy book from the CT store after Module 2. When I went in to the online version, there was no way to skip over what I had already learnt offline. The print copy made no mention I would be forced to do 6 hours of timed lessons online prior to the exam. I would suggest adding to the content how to deal with float planes taking off or landing.

I was surprised at how much information, I was not aware of. I learned a lot. I am happy to have passed this exam.

Very good. My only complaint would be is I feel that the Second Section was too long, and the same with the Final Section. Some of the videos could be One instead of Two, and that would be much more helpful. Otherwise, great way to obtain your Boating License! Would recommend to anyone who is looking to get theirs.

Course good but time estimated is way off.

Very painful. There should be different levels of licensing. I will never use half of this stuff just going from the boat launch to across to my camp. Only a two mile ride. Good heavens!

My only thaught is if there was an opportunity to do the quizes prior to doing the modual. If you dont pass the quiz then you are forced to complete the modual. I have been boating (not me driving) for all my life and most of the knowledge was allready with me. I didnt really set aside the time to complete the course in one sitting ( i didnt see anything stating the course will take half a day). Maybe put an estimated time before starting the course so people can plan for it. Other than that it hasalot of usefull info and i am glad that people are required to take the test. It is surprising how many boaters are out there that should think of reading/taking the course again. Especially the right of way areas.

Well laid out, and easy to navigate. Was a little on the boring side with very monotone narration

Overall, I'm pleased to have had the opportunity to do the course on line! This allows people to take the course at their own pace. I have many experiences in life and actually operated a small pleasure craft as a kid growing up before licenses and boater safety courses. Also, 38 years military service (army) not at sea! This was a lot of information to hoist in during the various modules. So spending time on each lesson was not a problem as I certainly did not want to rush through it! The inability to review lessons and incorrect quiz questions is quite a problem. One can correct mistakes in life by learning from past mistakes. I never knew which answers were wrong or more importantly what was the right answer? In the end I successfully completed the course on first attempt but still don't know which questions were incorrect?? Boatsmart should try to correct this flaw. You can still make someone do a module over if failed but why not help in the learning process. Thanks.

Would prefer to have lessons within a module more then 30 seconds. Very annoying to have to constantly click next and play over and over.

Well assembled course but you need to communicate to people the minimum amount of time the course takes. I was not happy finding out that the course was 7 hours long

Content prepares you well for the operator’s exam. I experienced some technical issues where I was logged out after clicking for the next slide; wasn’t a latency issue as the timer had just expired. Some typos here and there but they don’t affect comprehension of the material. Course meets expectations.

Hi there, The content of the course was good. The issue I had was the timer for the next animated video was longer than the video. So many times the video would restart before you could move onto the next. Also a large number didn't play. Some the play button was the same white colour as the background so you wernt sure if there was a video.

Not sure how anyone could complete all 7 Modules and quizzes in 3 hours. Also, perhaps you could combine several of the pages in each module.
