“I would not recommend Boots hearing care , terrible after sales service. The promises they make don’t exist . Any complaints, then they cancel your appointments. They also try telling you which branch to go to.”
“Terrible service, sold hearing aids definitely not fit for purpose, returned
with them 14 times, and they have been returned to Phonak twice, still
not right a complete waste of £2078. Thought going to a company like
Boots would get good service definitely not, a lot of wasted money for
a pensioner.”
“I went to Boots in Barnsley and I am very pleased with the service and the quality of the hearing aids I purchased
Also after purchasing the hearing aids I have had two follow up appointments to make sure everything is ok”
“Another cancelled appointment, 1 hour before the arranged time. Phonak aids brilliant, Boots service rubbish. The Yeovil Hearing Centre is clearly understaffed. My Wife's service from an independent is in another world. The bigger the business the worse the service.”
“Boots Hearing seem to have no idea at all how to provide customer service. In my dealing with them they have lost a pair of hearing aids for a 98 year old customer. They currently have a hearing aid given to them for repair but after 5 weeks they haven't been in touch. On calling today they were unable to help at all as they hadn't asked for POA documentation. So they take your hearing aids but have no way to return them to you. Simply astounding ineptitude, truly the worst firm to deal with when it comes to looking after an elderly vulnerable person. Avoid them at all costs!”
“No aftercare at Boots hearing care
Absolutely no help available in store once you’ve purchased the hearing aids . If you need advice or help you have to wait until you can get an appointment with the audiologist . No one in store is trained to help you with simple problems. I phoned the number provided and they only book appointments .
I would not go to Boots again I’d go to a different company another time , am disgusted and asking for a full refund as I can’t use my hearing aids without some simple advice.”
“Hello, boots were never off the phone when I expressed interest. After assessment fitting appointments were few and far between. Then my appointment was cancelled with one hours notice with no explanation and after I had rearranged my work to fit in with it. The is no direct local contact and the service seems poor, remote and inflexible ...you fit in with them. No confidence in them but I have made a deposit. I gave negative feedback when. It was requested but no one got in touch. To date I am an unhappy customer.”
“I have tried to obtain an appointment at my local Boots and have now had 2 appointments cancelled with no reason given
I have now given up and will go elsewhere to have a hearing test
I am very disappointed with the service”
“I’ve booked appointments and told them appt for new ear mould and guess what when I arrived at appointment I was told need longer appt. I wasn’t very happy spoken to my manager they not sort it out I’ve booked day off work for nothing waste of time”
“Awful aftercare ! All they are interested in is selling you the product , afterwards it’s a matter of survival of the fittest trying to get anything else from them.
The audiologists move around from shop to shop , just a rubbish company !”
“Was advised my appointment had been ‘ amended’ by text to an unsuitable time. Have spent half the morning listening to a boring repetitive message telling me everyone is busy ! what happened to personal service! could I not have been called and been given the choice of a new appointment time to suit my requirements ?”
“Do not go to Boots for your hearing aids I have had many problems with mine on My last visit I was promised a temporary pair as I am struggling without any. I went to the Grimsby branch on the 5th of October and stiĺ have not heared a thing since. I played a lot of money for them and feel like I am being ignored. So I would not recommend Boots to any of my friends and told to go somewhere else”
“Went for a hearing test in Tiverton. The facility was grubby waiting in in a small corridor. The hearing test examiner looked as though he would have preferred to be somewhere else. After a few short questions he recommended a private person to syringe my ears....very unprofessional service.”
“Knowing that my husband was experiencing hearing loss, as well as tinnitus I decided to have my hearing checked too. We came to Boots to be told we both needed hearing aids! We decided to get a second opinion. My husband now has hearing aids, programmed so they help with his hearing but don't increase the tinnitus. But, this time I was told that though I had a slight hearing loss nothing was needed other than another test in two years.”
“I agree wholeheartedly with the other negative reviews. The after sales service is dire...appointments cancelled and new appointments made for dates I cannot do(they are then cancelled and so it goes on) .No response to my emails. When I telephoned to explain this I got no apology..just told I was now out of refund time.!When I said in desperation I had been forced go to a rival I was told this invalidated my guarantee!I then explained that the rival saw me at once and said the problem was earwax which they removed so never touched the hearing aid I received no apology.
All I want is my money back and to take my business elsewhere!”
“I did not feel I was listened to . The audiologist kept making assumptions , like my husband would advise in hearing aid cleaning , changing filters because he had the same hearing aids. I said sitting in the lounge I could hear people flushing the toilet and washing their hands better than hearing the TV . This was fobbed off , I was called back for repeat appointments week after week to sort out the problem at a time when I was suffering with long covid and had breathing issues eventually I told her to forget it , new audiologist arrived so I booked an appointment for a Friday as I don't work on a friday.this was changed without reference to me for a Thursday when I could not attend as I work . Not impressed. I have to go back as I paid a lot of money and the hearing aid still does not work”
