“I have benefitted from the service and my depression is improving, however I was surprised when I would check in and wouldn’t hear anything back, even when I was reporting side effects. I needed to message my doctor specifically asking a question in order to hear anything from him. I was expecting more proactive, or at least reactive, outreach, even if it were just “I got your check-in and looks good, anything you want to talk about?”. As it stands today, I feel like recording my status is purely for my own benefit and feels like it all goes into a black hole, which leaves me questioning the value of the service.”
“It is convenient and affordable for me. I need to be on medication but I would benefit the most from a combination of medication and talk therapy. However I cannot afford therapy at this time so this is acceptable. I think this accounts for my progress being very up and die .”
“The medication part is easy and helpful, as are the self-guided CBT modules and worksheets. The messaging counseling format does not work for me as an ADHD person.”
“It’s accessible and helpful to have a framework every week, but the therapy isn’t what I expected and I wish there was a
way to do the lessons without interacting with a
counselor. It’s also a bit expensive.”
“The CBT lessons seem super basic and full of platitudes that people with depressoin have heard their entire lives and obviously doesn't help.
Also the part about going out and doing stuff and making friends during a pandemic was super funny. Not haha funny though.”
“It is helpful but some of the medications that i believe would help me more are not available because they are controlled substances. I am not a doctor but i am obseseve in researching things and they way i feel and the symptoms i have would respond better to those controlled medications. Because of that fact i am most likely going to find a local doctor to treat me.”
“I've been doing a lot better. It's weird to think that years of depression and anguish could have been easily helped with a monthly pill subscription. The $95/monthly fee is what keeps me from giving this service a 5 star rating. While it's cheaper than a lot of alternatives, it's still a monthly cost that I'm afraid I won't be able to keep up with long term.”
“I would expect real checkin a from doctor, it’s too automated — though I know I can message him, I don’t get the feeling that he exists post our first convo”
“While I appreciate the medical side of your program, the therapeutic side just did not work for me. My counselor has rarely been present with chats (which, sadly, I did not know before subscribing that the chat sessions are not typically ‘live’), and there are no telephone or video chats available. I feel your therapeutic offerings are not as adequate as other programs.”
