“I was having a hard time finding psychiatry coverage in NY and Brightside to be a godsend. I have been seen twice and though I missed the personal approach from my prior provider, I was happy to have medication management. I was recently charged by Brightside for just under $200. When I enrolled, I was under the impression my insurance covered all care done via the app. Out of pocket psychiatry is not in my budget at this time especially as I am an insured person. Therefore, I am incredibly let down by Brightside and would not recommend.”

“Seems to be a money grab. They didn't refill meds even though all the check ins were met and everything is going well. Not refilling meds that should not be discontinued suddenly and having a patient run out because they cannot get an appointment for several days due to the provider's schedule is a big negative.”
“Your billing and payment system is awful. I signed up with an understanding that my monthly bill would be one amount, and it turns out to be 5x that. Then, when I try to make a payment you can’t accept my method of payment. And the call center is useless.”
“Providers and therapists cancel on you last minute. Rx are not sent the day you see the psychiatrist. Therapists are disengaged and don’t really listen.”
“The provider I have was late to my first appointment and didn’t show up to my second appointment at all! Didn’t even hear from her. I’m very disappointed.”
“Getting an appointment was difficult and it took over a month to finally connect. Then my therapist and I couldn't connect audioally. It was very frustrating trying different passcodes, then having to change passcode, and my forgetting what I had keyed in.
I don't have problems with Zoom and taking to other therapists. I talked to Pauline- no problem. Since I'm not computer sophisticated, this was overwhelming.”

“ONE STAR! It's just too expensive! The initial "estimate" wasn't clear to me! They should have been more clear about how much I would PAY. Be specific!! Say $175 UNTIL your deductible is met. Simple. Instead, I got a fat $1200 bill for one month. Now I am quitting the "Crisis Program" - I have a new "crisis" and that is THIS BILL, not suicide.”
