We’ve had to increase our prices because the cost of supplying energy has increased significantly. Wholesale costs are up by 29% since March. Very confusing. Always seem to be in debit despite us paying more than our actual bill every month.

Hi Roxanne, Thanks for leaving us a review. I'm sorry you've found our billing confusing. I would be happy to look into this and provide you with some explanations on this. Some of the confusion may well come from the fact that we take our payments in advance. This means that your payment is taken at the beginning of the month for the month ahead, and this is taken on the same day that your bill is generated. This means that the payment taken on the same day as the bill is generated won't feature on that statement, but on the statement for the month after. New customer only a few months ago. But so far so good. I hope Bulb remain competitive on pricing.

Bulb where the 1st energy company I switched with I was with the same supplier for years my daughter introduced me to them and we both got £50 it's easy to do and Bulb take care of everything a couple of meter readings later and I'm with them now I'm in my 80s and wished I'd done it years ago they also pay your exit fees if your charged for leaving your old supplier you cant beat that .

Since changing to Bulb we have been able to control our energy better. Now we the smart meter installed. Didn’t realise that we would still have to send manual readings though. The electricity meter isn’t easy to read.

Since changing to bulb i have been charged less for electricity. It is so good. I am very pleased i changed wish i had done it years ago

It was my daughter who pointed me in Bulbs direction the best decision I have made in years I was always reluctant to change suppliers being with the same one for over 20 years it was painless .BULB takes out all the worries and they pay your exit fees as well I got £50 and so did my daughter as she recommended me to them 1st class service. I'm in my 80s so if I can do it anybody can choose bulb you wont be disappointed

I have been with Bulb since 01/02/21 and find their prices extortionate. I submit meter readings but they still estimate my energy use. Each month I am told to increase my Direct Debit payment so I have had enough and am changing to another provider. I am so sorry that I ever switched to Bulb and would never recommend them to anybody.

I put up with regular rate increases for a year before I finally had enough. They refuse to let me leave. I have tried for weeks to leave and they refuse. First they said I owed a balance. So I paid the balance. Then they said it takes a few weeks before we can accept your payment. So I waited. Then they took the money from my account but now they are saying it takes a few more weeks to apply the monies to my balance. It is a giant scam. I am now complaining to the ombudsman

Hi there, Thanks for leaving us a review. Unfortunately, we do need large debt balances to be cleared in order to allow members to switch suppliers, which is the case for many, if not all, suppliers. Once payments are taken, it can take a few days for this clear on your Bulb account, but I can see that this has now done so. Therefore, you should have no issues switching supplier now, if you wish to. I can see that you already have a complaint open with my colleague, so I've prompted them to get back in touch with you about this. All the best, Lou

Extremely cheap, and an easy to use app and smart meter, to keep an eye on gas and lec usage, I have no complaints whatsoever, my bills are around £40 a month at the moment, it’s just a case of being sensible with switching things off etc, I recommend bulb to my friends for the £50 rewards and I would highly recommend to anybody else 👍 👍 👌
