I came back to Bulb because they were price competitive, then they raised their prices. Previously they were outstanding and ahead of the field but now losing ground.

Hi John, Thanks for leaving us a review. We’ve had to increase our prices because the cost of supplying energy has increased significantly. Wholesale costs are up by 29% since March, when we last changed our prices. Because our tariff reflects the true cost of energy, we have to change this accordingly. i did not know that after i joined you that you were going to jack up the price also you arrange for a smart meter to be fitted and as far as i know the gas side still is not working

Good when you need to contact bulb but annoyed when bulb would not give me a credit meter as I am on a key meter because I have a low credit score as I have never needed to borrow money bulb could just look how I use my meter now I have never gone in to reserve credit and my meter is always topped up

Hi Jane, Thanks for leaving us a review. I'm sorry that we're not able to exchange your Prepay meters for Smart meters, due to your credit check. We are starting to install smart Pay As You Go meters, and we can email you about this when we’re installing in your area. Because these meters are smart, they’re more flexible. So you can top up online or with the app, as well as at your local PayPoint store. Switching to smart Pay As You Go doesn’t require a credit check. Hi there, Thanks for leaving us a review. We don’t like increasing our prices, but our variable tariff does reflect the true cost of energy. This means that we have to change our prices when costs change. Wholesale costs are now 31% higher than they were back in last September. No big problems so far, except they still haven't sorted out their App which would be super helpful for customers to check & manage their acct.

Hi I came with bulb as they had a top up service on line this was promised and after 12 months still no information tried to ring no answer

Hi Debbie, Thanks for leaving us a review. We do offer a Smart Pay As You Go option for our members who have smart meters that we can communicate with remotely. Changing to bulb has been an improvement on my gas ,but iam still putting a lot on the electricity

My switch to Bulb was without problems. However, they did not alert me to the fact that their prices were due to increase in the next few days .

Hey there. Thanks for the review. We don’t like increasing our prices, but because our tariff is low and reflects the true cost of energy, we have to change our prices when costs change. Unfortunately, the cost of supplying energy has gone up significantly. We also notify a month in advance so people are advised of the change incase they wish to switch. Hey there. Thank you for leaving us a review. We appreciate your points on the price. At Bulb we only have one tariff, so you’re always on our cheapest rate. We call it our Vari-Fair tariff. This means the price we charge reflects the true cost of energy. It also means that we don’t tie you into a contract and we never charge exit fees. Best, Carl

Like many others I feel totally ripped off by this company,do not join up,if you do you will definitely regret as they take your money without any warning,I call what they do,theft.I have now finally left but not qithout a large final estimated cost with no paperwork to justify,beware at all cost.

I have recently very switched to Bulb, after a price comparison, What concerns me is that they allow a referral code to be used on the internet that enables both parties to have a £ 50 credit. And no, I did not use any code from many that are on the net. Bulb of course know about this but, it seems, allow it to continue in return for good reviews. I can only conclude most of the reviews here are posted for £50 reward, and the overall rating is not a true reflection of the customer care level.

I am in the process of leaving Bulb after being with them for more than a year primarily because they are no longer competitive after recent price rises. I have found at least 10 companies with cheaper offers including British Gas and EON so time to move again. My new suppliers tarriff is more than 10% less than Bulb
