“When I phoned to make the initial enquiry about a new camera, Emma was very helpful and offered to keep one aside for me until I could come in for it. Kat served me when went in and she was really friendly and helpful. I took advantage of the fantastic 24 months interest free credit offer and Kat helped me through the application. The shop was clean and tidy and all members of staff were friendly. Usually I would buy camera equipment online as the prices are more competitive but Calumet was selling the camera I wanted for the same price as Amazon so I would definitely consider shopping with Calumet again!”

“Having recently bought a Nikon body in-store at Drummond Street and been, as ever, very happy with the staff there, I now have the opposite experience with an online purchase, made last week (Profoto B2 kit plus boxes). Not only was the kit tagged as available but I was told it would be at Drummond Street within 3 days. Before going over to pick up the kit I called a few minutes ago and a helpful, pleasant guy on the phone explained it was not and inference being that just because the website guarantees availability, reality means something quite different. As a private customer I pay a premium to shop with Calumet (I also buy through a corporate account and have done for many years). Can say as a private customer, unimpressed with Calumet online. You asked for a review - this is it.”

“I arrived at the store and was instantly in awe of the equipment available, as a beginner entering a whole new world i initially felt somewhat intimidated but was soon on my way to making the purchase i had come for! “I've been a regular Calumet customer for several years and the service has always been spot on, staff both at the sales counters and the rental counter are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and always going the extra mile to try and help. I may be able to get a "cheaper" deal online, but I value the great customer service and quality of products I get from Calumet above the pure pricing consideration, and that strategy has served me well long term. Calumet discount schemes for account holders, rental equipment loyalty cards and promotions of special price reductions are also very useful. I'm particularly impressed by staff at Drummond Street, the shop I mostly use (in addition to occasional phone/website orders from Calumet). Both rental and sales staff are always happy to take time for a chat about the equipment purchased and are happy to advise on the best solution, rather than simply go for the quick sale. Not and easy thing to do in a cut-throat retail environment, hope you'll continue with the fab service-led approach. Cheers Calumet!”

“You cant beat the experience,helpful and friendly staff in store. However the last three orders I have made, not one has arrived when promised and for two of the orders I was waiting 3 months and 1 month ( I was told 1 week and 2 weeks!!) This isn't store staff fault, but a real issue is occuring to the point where I am seriously considering not ordering again.”
