I needed an I-visor laptop sun screen and was told Calumet was the place to go for one. When I phoned and told an assistant the size of my laptop I was told Calumet didn't stock anything that size (I have a large laptop). I emailed the manufacturer in the U.S. who replied with the relevant model number of the I-visor - adding that Calumet had them in stock! I ordered from Calumet and the item arrived the next day. Excellent service.

I was trying to decide between 2 Nikon lenses as a general purpose upgrade zoom for my one-year old Nikon D7100. The patient, friendly advice from George at Calumet Manchester was extremely useful and I suspect much more honest than I would have received from any other retailer; so I was happy follow his suggestion and to make my purchase from Calumet.

Staff at the Belfast store were extremely knowledgeable and helpful when I recently purchased a new DSLR. I would definitely go back to buy camera equipment from them again in the future.

I purchased a Zeiss 135 lens from Calumet, having made contact at the Photography Show in March. As soon as the lens became available from the Zeiss company it was immediately dispatched by courier to me. I was advised, by e-mail from Calumet, on the progress of the order on 3 different occasions. Thanks to Jamie for his efficiency and to the company as a whole for setting a standard in customer services. Paddy

Your website is terrible. The search function is totally illogical and it's almost impossible to find items easily and get extra info off the site. Needs a total overhaul. Take a leaf out of B&H's website and sort it. Also your postage is a bit of a rip off. Apart from that I like getting stuff from calumet.

Arrived quickly. Ordered on Friday and it was delivered on Monday. P&P was free and turned out to be DPD, which I rate quite highly as they tell you when they are delivering the package.

The gift voucher I ordered was delivered the next working day. Unfortunately, I was not at home and had some difficulty arranging a re-delivery with FedEx. I contacted Calumet Customer Services who arranged for the re-delivery to be made in line with my requirements. I was very impressed with the excellent service I received from Indie.

The member of staff who served me was knowledgeable, helpful & friendly. I already knew what I was looking for, I was just unsure of the size. I was given the opportunity of testing the kit before I made my purchase. This was really helpful!

The purchase of the D750 went very smoothly (over three short visits) and was satisfactory in all respects. A subsequent visit to look for a lens cap and a neuter filter of 40.5 mm for a Coolpix P7800 that I had bought separately, was met with doubts by the assistant as to whether such items actually existed. Eventually - after much tappin on the keyboard and consultation with a colleague and upon my showing the ones I do have - he conceded, but they did not have them. I have the impression that this is not the shop for small-time customers such as myself, and so I settled for 4 stars only. GG

Your staff were very polite and supportive, when I did not know where you were and staff explained over the phone and I found you. Your supported me on my Tripod bag and gave me a lot of support and confidence in my photography that I enjoy a lot. Books were available and I purchased as well that have found very helpful. I will be back in the future. Paul

This shop has gone downhill over recent years. They almost never have anything in stock that you want but tell you they can order it from another branch in another part of the country. They always try to sell you their branded goods, i.e. the calumet version of a manfrotto tripod, etc. and nothing they sell is cheaper than you can get it anywhere else. A bit corporate really !

Sales assistant was very knowledgeable and willing to help even when i said that i came just to ask few things. i left the shop very happy with information and in the end purchased few things. the only drawback was waiting to time to be served. there are not many shop people and if they all have one customer it could be a long wait until you get help.

Appalling. We purchased two different kits for filming and photography. We trusted the sale and service and assumed that the equipment was packed correctly. On arrival at the filming location, we noticed that the equipment was incomplete in so far as a card was missing. We had to delay filming, travel all the way back to the shop in Euston and rather than the two miserable sales assistants accepting our word that the equipment was incomplete because a card was missing, they stubbornly insisted that the card was not necessary. We then had to explain to them that the card was necessary. On realising their error, without an apology for their error, or even an apology for rejecting what we were telling them, they left and went to bring us the missing card. When they returned with the card, they just handed it over. No explanation, no apology at all. I then looked at them for a few seconds and asked, "So why did this happen?" Disturbingly, they simply said, "Don't know" Nothing else. Again, no apology, no smile; not even an attempt at explaining why this happened. Appalling, appalling, appalling service. I have since told another eight filmmakers and production companies about our experience. I wouldn't have minded had they simply acknowledged the error and apologised. The sales assistants were miserable clowns. Why are they working there?

Visited Bristol branch to purchase Canon 50mm F1.4 prime lens - I knew exactly what I wanted and the product was in stock. Service was polite and efficient (as usual) - with a local branch of Calumet providing a wide range of products at competitive prices along with the convenience of "straight outside the store" parking, I increasing find that the company website is the first place I look to satisfy my photographic requirements.
