“Two items I asked to view were not available in store. A Canon 18/135mm lens and a Giotto 3 way head. I am sure your website showed both were in stock. I travelled to your Birmingham store only to find they were not available. Very frustrating. Ed Lynch”

“I wanted a quick remove mount for a video head. I want to use it with a loaned 300mm prime lens with a 1.4 multiplier. You checked which model was correct for my video head. You had to order it from Manfrotto and did not when I would receive it. I took a gamble since I wanted for a particular trip. The item arrived in good time but with a clip missing. I am not sure if this is important since I have not seen the mount for the lens yet and so will take the quick remove mount and find out.”

“It first took a while for the people in store to realise I was looking and needed help but once I went to the shop counter and asked I got some help from a knowledgable employee. It was his first day and he tried to do all that he could to tend to my specific requirements. He seemed to know most of the specifications of all the equipment I asked about and i'm sure that his knowledge will expand with more time working there. Quite a lot of equipment was not in stock which was slightly disappointing but overall a good service.”

“I spent £10,000 on a lens at the NEC Photography Show. I was then advised that the lens was not in stock - even though this was the first morning of the show - and so it was to be delivered. The delivery company put an illegible hand-scribbled card through the door (despite the fact that someone was in the house at the time and despite the fact that the delivery company's delivery note attached to the package clearly stated that the company should phone me on the mobile number provided). On calling the delivery company's office using the number printed on the card I was advised that I should collect the package from a flat in a multi-occupied block someway up the street. I declined and after some exchange of views on the matter the delivery company collected the package and delivered it. I subsequently raised the issue with Calumet via the website and never received an acknowledgement or response. I've never had a problem with WEX and will use them exclusively in future.”

“After having to return a camera for return for the second time to say I was a little unhappy was an understatement. Step in branch manager Lesley to the rescue, all I can say is fantastic customer service. I could not have asked for a better outcome, highly recommended. This is the sort of professional service others should seek to replicate. Calumet and especially Lesley are absolute stars, first class, very many thanks for your efforts in resolving my problem.”

“When I initially entered the store, I felt slightly intimidated as the quality of products on display were clearly quality products and aimed at the professional and enthusiastic amateur. I was quickly put at ease by staff who were knowledgable and friendly and appeared very willing to assist me get the appropriate product for my needs. I was unfortunate in that there was a shortage of one of the products I required and because of the the photography show at NEC it was being held in Birmingham. It therefore took longer to deliver than expected (a clash of priorities for the company). I was updated as soon as the product arrived and unlimately I would have said the shopping experience was very good if it had not been for the slight delay getting the product. My first experience with the company, and because of the conduct of your staff, I am likely to shop there again in the future.”
