“I recently decided to buy a Color Munki Photo unit for calibrating my monitor and my prints. The best prices were from overseas but after postage and duty would have been more,. So the best prices (the same) I found were Calumet and Wex. I know both companies but with identical prices and free postage i simply chose Wex. However, although Wex advertised free postage, when I put the item in my basket, it was not free postage. So I switched to Calumet. The Calumet website was easier to navigate and find what I wanted and free postage meant free. Despite free postage, my Color Munki arrived (very well packaged) the next day and I got good communication from Calumet. I am very happy with my purchase and with Calumet. Wex gets a Which award for customer service, but I think Calumet beats them on price and customer service. I have since checked up on some smaller items that I buy from time to time and found Calumet slightly better. The Color Munki Photo is an excellent tool that does the job it is supposed to do. I am delighted that I went to Calumet. Bob Bell”

“Liverpool branch closed down some time ago so now have to schlep to Manchester so rarely go. Calumet has lost a lot of money from me as a result. However, great service in the Manchester branch (as you used to get in the Liverpool branch of course). Spent time with me, let me play with the tripod to make sure it was the one I wanted. Got home and incorrect spiked feet fitting (as accessories). No problem in replacing by post as I didn't want to trot across to Manchester again. Great service. However, Wilkinson's now in Liverpool I've discovered and likely to go there much more than Calumet. Having a local branch is still important Calumet.”

“I attended an open day at Calumet, Hagley Road, Edgbaston Birmingham today. It was incredibly busy with so many different representatives present and many customers milling around. All the staff were so happy, polite, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for them. I had a particular problem with a camera bag I had purchased over 12 months ago and did not really expect them to be able to do anything as the bag was well out of warranty. However, I was delighted to be given a full refund! This was outstanding service! I then purchased a new head for my tripod [ another previous Calumet purchase] and was delighted when a member of staff kindly fitted it for me! I replaced my bag with the very kind and knowledgeable assistance of a Lowepro representative. Then to cap it all, I had a free sensor clean, it doesn't get much better than that. All the staff contributed to an exceedingly successful day and I wish to add my grateful thanks and appreciation of all their efforts. MJ”
