“Recently, I used mail order to buy a roll of film from Calumet. It arrived in a timely manner in good condition. Prior to this, I bought from them a Fuji S5 and promptly lost a small fitting. Thinking that there had been a point in not buying from a box shifter, I sought assistance at the store from where I had purchased the camera. I was told that they were unable to help. So, I approached the importers who directed me to the Fuji website and I simply ordered the part which arrived promptly. Also, I used a credit card to buy a place on a Calumet lecture. The lecture was cancelled. I had to ask for my refund and when I checked my credit card statement, I found that I had been short changed by an amount that I assume was a service charge for using a credit card. The matter was not pursued. Unless there is a compelling reason to use Calumet, I keep on walking. Nick Wilkinson Tivium@hotmail.com”

“The essential difference between buying from one camera store or another is service. Calumet know their product. They also care about your experience as a customer. Getting such matters right is, these days, what matters to me when I am busy and need to make a buying decision. Recent purchases of Nikon equipment were comfortable experiences thanks to Calumet Wardour Street staff.”

“I had cause to buy a lens from your Birmingham store in November , unfortunately what I wanted was out of stock so I was about to leave . Enter one very helpful member of your staff , sorry I forget his name ,who took me over to a selection of second hand lenses . I found much better than I needed at a fantastic price . So after trying this lens on a body , the same as mine, and virtually being left to my own devices to try it out to my hearts content a deal was struck . You can thank the quality of the salesman for this as I spent maybe £350 more than I was intending ! I am currently looking at your Bowens lighting kits and once I have made my mind up I will be visiting again . Buy Online ? Yes I could but your staff make things so pleasant . Thanks again Shane lewis”

“I have used Calumet over the last five years when purchasing any camera gear that I wish to use. The staff are extremely good and most helpful, they do not in any way put pressure on the customer to make a purchase as is the style in many other places. They will suggest certain items that may enhance the product and give very good advice if you ask specific questions. I certainly would NOT consider going elsewhere as far as photo gear is considered”

“The main reason for making my purchases at Calumet is the advice I get form the staff, they are photographers themselves and not shop assistants. Anything not in stock can be obtained fairly quickly. Price too is important, try to keep it down ;-)”

“I bought the Calumet Rolling case for all my gear. I wanted something that would take a GH3, lenses, audio mixer, mice and cables. Everything fits in very snug. Great case, looks super strong for my needs. Calumet gave a great service online and the item arrived in day or two after the order. Very pleased.”
