I found Jordan and the e-bay sales team very helpful, as were all those on the shop floor when I collected some purchases.

Great advice by knowledgeable staff. Prices same as Internet but major benefit of seeing the product and getting the benefit of the experienced staff to make sure you get the most appropriate equipment.

Purchased a product in-store. Knew what I wanted, price was reasonable and I was pleased to be able to deal with someone face-to-face. Took quite a while providing all of my details to the person behind the till which is a bit of a pain.

Hi the UK dept is great, the US store in Manhattan is full of Know it alls with bad attitudes that treat you like your an idiot and dont know anything. Just so you know I went in there and their attitude was so bad I walked out went up the street to FotoCare where they treat you like a, ah Customer, gave all the technical Knowledge they had on the products and spent nearly £1000 pounds yes 'pounds' on eq for the studio. Now I do that at least once a month , on average, so you do the math. LIke I say the UK are great, NYC is rubbish . NB to the NYC guys , if they know so much , how come I'm the one being Paid to take pictures and they're being paid to stand in a store?

I chose to drive 50 miles to your Birmingham store because I was looking for a professional range of cameras and advice. I found the service very polite and prompt. Nice smiling people. The reason for not giving the full 5 stars is partly because there was no sample of the latest Nikon for me to compare with the D800 that I was able to look at. I was showed it on the web, but I wanted to check sizes, weight and handling. Not being able to do that, I wasn't willing to pay out such a large sum blind. I might have spent that bit extra, but went with the D800 as that is a great camera. I looked at several lenses. Each time the service was smiling. What would have been extra nice would have been a few more suggestions as to what is considered the best in the range currently, what might be best for the use that I was going to put it - I'm a wedding and portrait photographer which I said- and to make sure that I was offered the chance to buy other things that I might have needed/not thought of - spare batteries, tripod, bag etc. I was asked if I wanted anything else; which isn't quite the same. No discount was available at all and nothing was offered by way of a "thank you" for my custom. That would have been a nice touch. The store had nowhere for customers to sit down either. I think that if you had bar stools or seating area so that people were comfortable that you might sell more ...

Only one reservation though. Felt like it was the Spanish Inquisition in respect of purchasing a premium item. I will rather go elsewhere when purchasing lenses in the future. Not prepared to be questioned like that again. I had purchased previously and felt the questioning was intrusive. I subsequently spent nearly 70000 pounds elsewhere because of this incident.

The range of gear and prices are five-star; however, your customer service is two-star at Drummond Street, but good in Wardour Street. One example: I went to Drummond Street to ask if the drum scanner was still available but all sales assistants were busy and there was a queue. I went to the hire counter and posed my question and the response from the young woman was that she couldn't help and I'd have to wait and ask one of her colleagues. Was she so unobservant that she hadn't noticed the scanner was gone? I now buy on-line at Wex -- prices are keen and customer service is exemplary. Suggestion: why not hire sales staff who do a bit of photography, rather than photographers who do a bit of sales?

Over a few orders of late of mostly 'used equipment' the quality has been of a higher standard of condition that can be expected for items of this age. The standard of delivery great -order 11pm Thursday -del 0845 Saturday (still in bed lol) Thanks chaps
