“In general the shop is very good, staff is helpful and customer service is great. However there is some room for improvement. I have ordered Nikon D750 Body before the end of the free Nikon gift (carrying bag, 16gb sd card and a cleaning cloth). The offer was supposed to finish on 6th of May and I have bought it on the 5th of May evening and you have ended it because you ran out of stock for these gifts. Then one of your customer service staff called me, I explained that offer has been taken away in not a fair way and I was promised that you will send the gift to me separately when you will receive it. My original order number was W-00029085-UK. Please use the same delivery address. Also I am writing it because I am not able to see the gift order on my order list. “I went into Calumet to buy a camera bag using some vouchers that my colleagues had given me as a gift. I found the staff so helpful and informative, that I left with a new bag, and a new DSLR camera! Not only were they able to help me with my decision of what to buy, but they also offered to post out some accessories to me that they didn't have in stock. Overall a fantastic experience.”

“From my initial enquiry through to the actual purchase and delivery I feel the help and attention I was given was second to none. And to top it all I received an after sale call from John Willis to ensure everything was OK with my new studio lighting system. Excellent service, price and advice. Thanks Calumet!”

“I've always found the Calumet Belfast store to be great. They carry an extensive range of enthusiast to pro level gear in store. Pricing tends to be in line with online UK pricing in my experience. Its great to have this quality photo/video retailer in Northern Ireland. There are some things for which buying online just doesn't cut it. Nothing beats being able to try before you buy. I hope the Belfast store continues to expand and be successful for years to come.”

“Hi there. It seems there has been a change of staff in Calumet Drummond Str. Gone are the older staff who had been there sometime time. People who had worked there for a number of years who one had developed a relationship with. The new crew are younger and seem less engaged and knowledgeable. My feeling is that Calumet are trying to save money on wages by cutting down on the quality of the staff. I've been coming to Calumet for many years and in fact knew the Drummond Street store when it was KJP in my assisting days. In the 10 years I've been working as a freelancer, I've always bought my gear from Calumet and hired much much more stuff. For me, it;s about building a relationship with a store and they work with you. I have to say the last purchase that I made did not go so smoothly and I left feeling less then impressed with things. I'd feel less inclined to recommend Calumet to my peers in future.”

“the purchase was via ebay for a second hand profoto soflight reflector grid.. The grid had some slight damge but was sold as seen so no worries. what was more concerning was the issue that the grid keeps falling out from the dish as the springs are only just contacting the rim... I am sure I can overcome these issues and thanks for the questionnaire James”

“Ordered on a Tuesday, rang Wednesday afternoon and was told that it was shipped on that day. Rang Saturday as it still not delivered and was told that Calumet would ring back with an update. No message received. Monday afternoon a neighbour rang the door with my package which has been delivered 10 doors away on the same road. The Calumet paperwork had the correct postal address but the address on the FedEx label had the incorrect address. It is poor customer service not to investigate why I had not received the package. Because someone else had inadvertently signed for a package that did not have their name did Calumet pressume that I was not telling the truth, should they have checked the delivery address before ignoring my requests for delivery status. I paid £4.99 for next-day delivery only to receive a 6 days delivery. Poor service.”

“I will ONLY shop at Calumnet for all photographic equipment for several reasons 1. there is no "hard sell" 2. Staff are friendly, and listen to what you "needs" are. 3. You will then get an HONEST opinion of the options open to you re: equipment. 4. Staff have extensive knowledge and experience of stock. 5. If the item is not in stock, then staff will draw up and order for it and then the customer will then be contacted on arrival. 6.Wokshops run for help, advice on your equipment. With greatest thanks and regard, a very happy customer.”

“In all honesty, there are tons of websites that sell the same gear for less. The reason why at your stores is for the free advise that you provide at the time of purchase. I have never had to make a refund. In fact, the only reason I come back is to buy more gear from a store that is reliable, friendly, and above all, trustworthy! Keep up the good work guys!”
